Yeah absolutely. They’re using a bad example with the 747s. They were already being retired en masse because they were getting old and inefficient. It’s more efficient for airlines to buy larger single-deck planes than double-deck planes like the 747 and now A380 (not being retired yet because they’re mostly new, but the sales stagnated long before COVID)

I'm glad to see your comment because I thought the same thing - Airlines were retiring the 747 before COVID. This video's use of the 747 as an example made me question the entire validity of anything they said in this video.

:( I used to work for Flybe, and after finishing my Bachelors in Aviation & Airport Management I am currently studying CIPS to get into the procurement and supply industry as Logistics was also another industry of my passion that I self-studied years ago and took an online course with MIT through EDX. I urge all my Aviation brothers and sisters to stay strong and survive through other industries offering jobs within transportation, logistics, supply, operations, communication, manufacturing, engineering, management, customer service, etc. It is going to be a long run before Aviation gets back on its feet, but remember we are professionals, we are strong, we will serve and we will succeed.

When it comes to many American Airlines, they got themselves more in this hole because they never saved for a rainy day fund. In any business, you invest in three sections to keep your business afloat when it makes profits. You pay back your investors, you expand with your employees, and you save up for a rainy day/emergency fund. Many American Airlines did the first, and forgot about the rest. So now they got a huge bailout from the government (our tax dollars) so they wouldn’t go out of business.

At first I was scared due to inconsistency in the market and fakes out there and secondly I never want to lose my money. I saw series of people talking and giving testimonies on how Mr. Greg has helped them in one way or the other, then I decided to key in and started talking to him for about 2 days and then he thought me how to go about it step by step then finally I was able to invest a minimum of $1000 then waited for 4days as he said then on the fourth day I was credited for the first time with $8000 and i was totally amazed. Mr. Greg is awesome and reliable as they say so please save yourself the stress if you want to succeed then give Mr. Greg a try. He is always available to talk to anyone on any of his platforms. His Whatsapp number is [+1 314-528-9499], and finally his Telegram ID is @GregFX55. You can reach him in any of these handles and he’ll respond to you.

Whomever puts the customer first will survive. People are no longer willing to be bled dry with fees and overpriced tickets, uncomfortable seating etc, and restricted by policies - all now geared for the benefit of the airline and staff. It’ll be a long time before I fly if things stay as they are.

Awful thing is they're going to just continue packing people in like sardines, and that is sooo unhealthy. I have always thought flying was a good way to catch colds and other such things, but now i'm going to avoid flying at all costs. Flying used to be nice, but nowadays they pack people in so tight, and the seating size and distance has shrunk to the point that it is a HUGELY unpleasant experience. I really wonder if the airline that considers these things, i.e. passenger comfort and safety, may be the winner in the long run.

This is a nightmare. You can’t take cash out of an equation - companies need $$ thats why it’s called CASHFLOW. You’re going to see bankruptcies in the fall and next spring Airlines, hotels, restaurants, theatres, car rental companies, apparel/retail companies are all in trouble. This is a mess.

Never have so few companies received so much federal money and support, yet treat paying passengers like sardines and charge ridiculous prices. Two bailouts, taxpayer built airports, taxpayer FAA, taxpayer air traffic controllers, taxpayer airport security including TSA, other infrastructure, and airport administration at taxpayer cost. Contrast that with the fact that bullet trains running in the 1960s in Japan are faster than any train running in the USA in 2020. China in 1965 was a poor agricultural nation, yet today has Over 2,800 pairs of bullet trains running daily. The USA has none.

You mean “How Can Airlines Survive Government Negligence?” The airports should have been closed in February and March. Shuttering airlines after a pathogen has already been distributed to every country on earth is needless destruction. And that will be recognized only after a few prominent University professors write books and articles saying so. This constant dependence on “expert” opinion, as opposed to reason, is technocratic and morally insupportable.

I will share with you how I make up to $10,000 sometimes every week or most times in every 4 days depending on my trader Mr. Greg Williams.

American Airlines deserves to go out of business because they simply do NOT care about the passengers. Terrible customer service.

Don't fly them then. They have 200 million other passengers (at least as of last year), so they won't go anywhere. I agree their customer service is bad, but companies don't go out of business just because people think they deserve to.

@@mirzaahmed6589 many companies have suffered financially because of poor customer service. Remember all the time they abused customers with their overpriced tickets. They can use that money to save them selves.
