Here is a video on how your cars ignition system work, your ignition system is responsible for both creating and timing of the spark that is produced at the tip of your spark plug. Throughout the decades different ignition systems have been used and in this video we will go over the early systems that were comprised of an Ignition switch, Ignition Coil, Contacts, Igniter, Ignition Control Module, Distributor, Spark Plug Wires and Spark Plugs. Once you know how an Ignition system works testing and diagnosing problems within the system will become easy for you.
