I hope that the information provided will be useful to you, and if you have any doubts, read the instructions of the car manufacturer, the braking system, because this is the attitude of using different refrigerants.
The brake discs must be clean, degreased so that there is no situation where the lubricant / paste / oil under the influence of temperature and centrifugal force flows to the working surface of the brake disc, which can be dangerous for braking performance, and can also damage the brake pads.
I do not recommend any chemicals to be applied to any part of the brake disc.
In the ATE checklist (Correct installation of the brake discs) is the point where the hub surface is to be oiled and wipe the excess with a dry cloth. No oil, will not be a problem, and we are sure that the shield will be clean and properly braked.
Conditionally, you can use a wire brush on an electric screwdriver or a drill to clean the old hub, but gently squeeze the surface to avoid damaging the working surface of the hub. We need to get an even surface of the hub after cleaning so that the shield does not hit us.
