How Big of a Spare Tire Can You Actually Fit Under the Jeep Gladiator

If you're looking at larger wheels and tires, you may want to consider how big of a spare will actually fit under the Jeep Gladiator. Today I put the Jeep up on the lift to measure for myself. Did Jeep really mean to do this when they designed the Gladiator? What do you think?

35” fit but you never mentioned tire hitting track bar. The most important contact point. I fit a 37” under my gladiator.

People have fit partially deflated 37’s under there. I’m running 38’s, I guess a 37” spare is better than nothing..

Okay here’s the question 37 by 13.50 by 17 will they fit?

Hey @robMotiveJT. thanks for making this video, i have a gladiator and have been trying to figure out exactly what fits. Rubicon is 33" (32.5) tires like your wife's from factory and space. I read in the comments 37 ko2 bfg fits snuggly. (~ 36.5" probably) tire. thanks for making video, i just subbed also. we'll see what we buy for our channel on tires.

There are multiple 37” tires that fit with zero issue. Just head to a discount tire and ask them to test mount before you purchase. As this video didn’t get to lager tires, it could have been a two minute video by measuring the circumference. I guess, if you are trying to get paid instead of being direct and helpful, stretching it out makes sense.

I've seen up to 35's in the spare tire carrier, if people drive on paved or well maintain dirt roads 35's not a problem, however for off roading people might want to put the spare in the bed of the truck, the spare is no good if you cant get it out, good video! tc

I would say one of the most common size tires on a Jeep is a 35x12.50 so I wonder if they made it where it would accommodate a tire that size since they knew a lot of people would be running those?

Aloha and good 🌟 afternoon 🔅 Rob. I guess the largest tire just barely fit for the 35-inch tire. Yet, it depends on the rim that can fit through for the lift in lifting the spare tire into the well as needed. Simply, the new rim must be let the lifter slide through the middle (cross member). @@robmotiveplus Im running 37s on my Rubicon JT. I have a pretty serious backspacing but I can't remember exactly what it is. No rubbing under normal circumstances
