Braces can transform your life, they did for me. I can still remember my first few days of braces and definitely the day I go them off.
You become a more confident and happy person when you have a beautiful new smile. There are multiple studies that show people view you as more successful if you have straight teeth. Your teeth are also more healthy and you will have fewer dental issues in the future if you can properly clean them.

I started my braces 2 weeks ago and I'm so excited! I am 36 and I've always hated my teeth. I can't wait to be able to smile with my teeth for the first time as an adult. Thank you for these videos.

Hi doctor Nate, my name is Ali. I just found your channel and I really like it. I think that your videos are really nice and informative. I am currently in 10th grade, and I live in California. I am interested in becoming an orthodontist. Any tips and advice for me? Any tips on getting a job shadow opportunity? Also, would you recommend going to a state like Texas or growing states for a job? Do you know about job opportunities abroad? Your videos are very inspiring and beneficial. Hope you keep making videos! Also, I have a youtube channel, and it's growing slowly. Any advice on staying consistent with making videos and growing my channel? Thank you so much and I will continue watching your videos!!! I also currently have braces and I have had them for almost 3 years now. I will be taking them off soon. Hi Ali. That's a lot of question;) I went to USC in Cali but we moved because it just made more sense for us. Moving is a tough personal decision so that will be up to you. No real trick to making videos other then trying to remember WHY you are making them. If your WHY is strong enough you will make tons of videos. As far as getting retainers I recommend clear plastic retainers. If made well I believe they are best. I don't recommend permanent retainers because they are so hard to keep clean. Good luck!

Hi Dr. i am very close to getting my braces removed, it's been 3 years since i put them on, and in about 6 months i will get them off completely. Are you supposed to wear retainers for the rest of your life, or should i wear them as long as i worn braces. Sorry for bad English. Best regards!

Does sucking your thumb cause an underbite? I sucked my thumb a lot as a child and I have an pretty bad underbite.

Is sarpe surgery more tolerable than an orthognacic surgery?

Yes but both are tough on patients.

Nathan Coughlin okay but which one has a better recovery rate ?you had a sarpe surgery along with the expanders did you have to wait months to heal from the surgery and does this surgery damage the nerves and could possible leave you with a nerve injury or is that only attributed to a jaw surgery where they have to move the upper jaw ?Thanks in advance .
