Angularjs is outdated. It's now just Angular and quite different from its predecessor. And one would either learn Angular (framework) or React or Vue, not all, initially. The latest version of Ecma Script is important to learn. It's a higher level of JavaScript and needed for Angular.

LOL! I get compared to so many actors: Mads Mikkelsen, Al Pacino, Keanu Reeves, Robert DeNiro, Nicolas Cage ... and others. It's weird ... I guess people on different parts of the face.

IMO is slightly Cage (mostly in some looks/expression) but with the style/quietness/expressions(at some points) of Al Pacino. I don't see there Keanu... Then, in less percentage, DeNiro, yep, in the way he talks at some specific moments/points (and again, in specific film roles, or interviews). :). at some point in some film scene, even Tommy lee Jones... Some video endings slightly remind me of how Hitchcock ended his short chapters series :D. Also, kind of seems he thinks - surely rightly so- that nerds don't get outside enough, so he carries them in the boat for a bit (after all, who among us has a boat to enjoy that...not me, so is appreciated, haha). haven't seen that done by other ppl, quite original :D EDIT: if the man talked exactly as one of those, would be a pity, everyone has own's special "voice", so to speak.

good point, but I am on the lower end of skill level still even if I look at it objectively. I'm almost through it though. Stef, other youtubers, and just writing code is getting me through. In the past, it was on again and off again. I am starting to live code now, though, and that is the gamechanger.

busyrand if you know the syntax, data structures, algorithms, OOP basics and MVC patterns then you know more than enough to learn most languages. These are what make good developers because this knowledge is transferable to all languages so when you switch you dont need to learn these again you just need to learn the new syntax thata all

+ZoommaiR quite honestly I believe that as soon as one has five sites up and running on the web, one should not be afraid to up their hourly rates by at least $10 an hour. Don't let your "lack of confidence" prevent you from increasing your rate. The more sites you do, the more "confident" you will get, and the more money you deserve to make, especially if you are producing quality work. Some people may even think I'm being too conservative about that and that you should ask for more than a $10/hr increment, but do what feels comfortable for you.

+Ross Geography, I used to say that earning $300/hr as a freelance web developer was "impossible" -- until I saw it happen. Now I'm busy trying to hone my skills to get to that level. I'm lucky that with every new contract gig I take, my per hour rate has been going up and up and up from when I started four years ago. A big part of the reason why isn't necessarily that I have become more skilled at what I do (although I like to think that I am) but mainly because I started ASKING FOR MORE MONEY each time. And 99% of the time, they give it to me! That is why I am so happy that in New York State, it is no longer allowed for employers to ask for your salary history :) I can't remember where I read it but it is so true: "We never get what we deserve; we only get what we negotiate for."

HA HA HA Chicago the going rate is $30 to $50, maybe you might get $60. I haven't seen the days of $200+/hr in decades!

My guess is that these guys are very proficient I. Their development. They bill a set price for the whole project, rather than an hourly rate. If they finish the project quickly, then that fee divided by the hours they actually spent, works out to a high value.

For freelance, PHP all the way. Once you learn your core programming in one language, if you decide to switch later on, it will be easy. That's why I've written commercial code in 9 languages over the years.

Using bootstrap for animations is fine. If you know your core (web stack), then you can get your first job, and build from there. I will be putting out a video on that soon.

There is a lot of work for well trained web developers.

"well trained" is pretty vague. It's hard to know exactly what you're talking about. Do you happen to have any specifics? For example: -Their code is too messy and unorganized. And thus too hard to manage. -Their code is too fragile and it breaks if the users do something unexpected. -They're using too many syntactic sugar options. So the code ends up looking like pot luck. Specific things like that. "well trained" can mean anything.

You hit a few key points! Any of my students will fall under that category of well trained. :) Perhaps I will do a vlog on that particular subject.

Sushmit.... bidding sites, not my cup of tea. Probably NEITHER a place to start. Speaks to you an old fart that wears and did so in the past, many hats. I have now freelancing as an easy thing to get, tho mostly for graphics works, Easy to get clients. And still, freaking uber hard to get any clients at all at bidding sites. Remember those sites, like most things, have its paths, its ways. You need to earn first a reputation (and without gigs done, u don't get jobs assigned, a vicious circle). I'm not sure, but i'd be to bet a lot did very pro bono work , super cheap almost free work. Or ppl having a very strong portfolio to show, big clients, or just numerous ones, published content *OUTSIDE those bidding sites*, first, those have it surely easy to get the projects there. If like me, you are a freelancer that touched many fields, and in my case (well, not my case: you are starting and yet have no clients. is not about a number of clients, only, is an organic learning on how to get new clients, and how to maintain them. U'll get it), don't need really promo as work for word of mouth, then bidders in those places dont trust you. They go for , IMO, the reputation and stars in those sites, and almost as importantly, published portfolio of very extensive kind. If the other thing ur trying is stock sites, uploading graphics there, you can avoid another big deception which either is not your fault. the trick in those is also KNOW the place, it has its tricks. My recommendation is avoid those two kind of things for now, go for the word of mouth, personal networking, loose the fear (we all started not knowing sh1t, but almost nooone recognizes it ) do some work not free but affordable for customers as they can trade lack of expertise for lower price, in quite some cases. You wont get lack of clients for training, as you can even do volunteer work for some organization, small or big, and funny enough companies DO value that (personal values are considered too!). My best advice: go for friends, neighbors, people u know u can trust as persons in general, do work for 'em. If some not pay or pays late: remember, now the key is getting work done, portfolio done. So don't get mad at that. For now. You need an online portfolio, live sites. Do not get into any conclusions about your future from the results on biding sites or stock art depots. Go for building a personal network. You do this one by one. Take at first one client at a time, several only if you are super fast, which I doubt , at start. Do leave a good mark and do solid sites. Go building ur portfolio, doesn't matter what are the sites about, anyone with a business might need a site. U need portfolio in this, however you can get it. Is essential for literally ANY other next step. Don't let your self down with an impossible almost step for a beguinner like it is any bidding site or stock depot site. PD: I've done some stuff in those places is NOT impossible, but I DO NOT rely on that other than sth i send a proposal from very time to time in things I really am interested on and where I very specially shine, and in some occasions, I get a proposal accepted, do my work and finish the stuff. Again, not my recommendation for a beginner, probably neither for an advanced. Also, somehow the hour is quite depreciated in those sites, as well as your work. At least it is for a large portion of the designers. Not for the ones at the top, those do pretty well, indeed. Hope it helps !

Karanveer - IMO go sole trader year1 as you cut your teeth - you'll likely have a number of costs you can offset against year1 profitability so your tax bill won't be too high and it offers more flexibility as you figure out what you enjoy and want to offer - LLC becomes tax efficient once you've worked out your costs (and haven decent processes / workflows in place).

LLC's are important if you are partnering, so as to limit your liability with regards to what you partner may do. LLC can help protect you from legal liabilities, but I am not sure how legally vulnerable you would be as a web developer. Owning a restaurant would be a different thing ... someone might choke on some food or something. I would suggest starting out with a simple sole proprietorship (much cheaper and easier to start) and when there is a tax advantage to opening an LLC ... do it then. Ask an accountant for the number as it varies depending on where you live. Makes sense?
