Not about being jealous, more about being realistic. Friends outside the marriage for either side are risky and unnecessary.

exactly. Or - those friends should be Keen into getting to know you and being your friends too , genuinely! if that's not the case, they just using your significant other as their ego boost and comforter and he does the same!

Something about what you said helped me realize that I just need to love myself. If I can do that, my jealousy will just melt away...

it will also melt away once you get in a relationship with a man who truly respects you and cherishes his relationship with you!

Thank you! My husband is very close to his first cousin to the point of putting her before me. When I speak to him about it, he says I'm jealous. I have decided to be the Best me I can be and focus on myself.

Well, I'd keep working on myself. However, I would go to a pastor or someone who would be willing to talk with him about it and open his eyes up.

Amen. I was going to a premarital Christian counselor and one of the topics that came up was Friends of the opposite sex. I am against the idea, and they were like it's okay. I never went back.

Your husband is setting the tone in the marriage. If he has female friends then maybe you need to have male friends.
