Kim andAggie are tough, sarcastic and yet so nice and empathetic when it’s time to talk seriously. I love it when Aggie says - it’s in the past. Yes, what is done is done. Learning your mistakes is more important. So addicted to this show. 2 weeks ago I was addicted to watching Hoarders. Now this teaches me more so to clean.

People in the comment section are always so busy with tearing these people down. It is great that you are overcoming, even if you struggle with physical function! However, not everyone is that lucky, and especially depression can make cleaning seem impossible. Just because they have not yet been so lucky to learn how to cope, it doesn't mean they are evil/useless/lazy/etc. By participating in this program, they are clearly showing the will to fight for it, and trying to learn. If you are superman/superwoman, great! But at least have a little respect for the people who are trying, no matter the reasons that brought them there.

Yep, went through a severe depression when my son was killed one year after my beloved parents died (only 13 days apart). Didn't care what my apartment looked like, didn't much care what I looked like, just plain didn't care. Took ten months to pull myself out of it, but took years to regain the desire to keep my personal environment truly clean again.

Four grown people and they can't keep house?? I didn't see anything wrong with their limbs. If they can play dress-up, then they can grab a sponge. All they need is to bag that trash and scrub everything. NO EXCUSE FOR THIS! If you have a freezer full of food and it breaks down, stops working, DON'T KEEP THE FOOD IN IT FOR TWO YEARS WTFFFF throw it away!
@jessicataylor7174

I agree but it is very hard when just one of those adults is lazy and fillthy. My mum used to make us do everything and had the ironic attitude of 'if everyone pulls their weight then one person should be able to float' eg if we do everything she won't have to do anything....even though she was the dirtiest, messiest of us all. When we moved out of the house she ran out of excuses....oh but then she was 'old and alone' etc etc etc....believe me, if just one person is dirty and messy it it impossible for the others to keep house, so they give up!

@tamonettX500 7 жыл бұрын
You are right; I've been there now that you put it that way. There was a brief time I stayed with my mother and brother (I was injured and had to give up my apartment). Nobody wanted to lift a finger to clean the place, but they sure didn't mind using up all the clean dishes I'd wash. I worked all day, it was not fun cleaning up after everyone. If I didn't, just to prove a point, the dishes ended up in the sink, on the counter, on the table...grown people with nothing but excuses. I'm so glad I live alone!

I agree with you. I must admit, I am so lazy these days but I used to put a lot of effort to tidy and clean. I have just lost all motivation, as the process tires and stresses me out. Really cool to know there are British wild west enthusiasts out there; I love to see people embracing and enjoying cultures that aren't necessarily their own (and yes, the "Wild West," _is_ considered a culture. Cowboy, pioneer, homesteading, gold rush, etc. - _all_ considered early US cultures.) ...unlike _certain people_ who piss and moan about the ridiculous pseudo-sociological bugaboo of "cultural appropriation." I'm of Navajo/Cherokee descent, so my ancestors and early American settlers haven't always been, uh... bffs, you could say. If you know the history the "Windtalkers" you know that certain animosities and prejudices ran deep, even into the 20th century, but for the most part, we've never experienced any ignorance of that sort, and no, me and mine do not care if you're native or not, as we've always had an "everybody's welcome; the more, the merrier" kind of mindset when it comes to sharing our culture with others. So, anyway, it just makes me happy to see people embracing other cultures and histories; it feels unifying, imho... a way to bond with each other, so to speak. :) Now, if only they'll keep up with the housework! Oh, also, "Crackers" is just about the cutest dog name I've heard in a while. I might "appropriate" it for a future doggo someday (my current doggo is Mr. Charlie Sprocket ...I dunno why; just sounded cute. :3)

The dad obviously works hard but he still lives in the house 2 days a week so he should make sure he does his bit too. But I suspect the parents were never tough enough on the kids, you see it with sons, parents don’t make them do any house chores so they never will, where as daughters are made to so they will as they grow up.

Why do undity people almost always have animals? They get allergies, infections, etc, too! In other hoarding/cleaning shows, any animal welfare service is involved, but not here. Those rats for example, even though their cages were clean, they were still suffering from the dust and god knows what else the air was polluted with. They were very young, but already having a lot of trouble breathing. Very sad, they deserve an intervention just as well.

I cared for my mum for 5 years - she moved in with us due to dementia. I also had a young child who I had to take to school each day. Oh and a p/t job (had to give that up when my mum deteriorated). My home was always clean and tidy, so their excuse doesn’t wash with me. Nor does the depression excuse. If she was genuinely depressed I doubt she’d be up to playing Wild West reconstructions. They’re just lazy; too lazy to even house train the dog or to empty the broken down freezer. I feel sorry for those poor pets too.

They need a leader. The parents are so irresponsible. Bad enough making those children grow up in that horrible filth, but not teaching them how to be responsible adult.

I need to find out to make sugar soap. I've lived in my apt for about 6 years and with then 2 kids now 3...walls got all dirty lol. Not sure if repainting will help disinfect lol

Sugar Soap is known as TSP. Use it to clean walls before repainting so you get good adhesion for your paint

The mother in this family had her sick mother to look after and seemed to blame her and the situation of having to care for her. Ive had family who have been in that situation and it was like looking after a child and we would clean up when my uncle slept or was being looked after by the carer twice a week and just kept on top of it all. I mean for goodness sake there are even flushable toilet cleaning wipes to clean around the seat and bowl after each person uses the loo. I will say that you live how you're taught and if you have never been brought up in a particularly clean/tidy home then you're not going to do much if anything. So although I feel for the mother she obviously hasn't taught them much and has just not bothered as it takes more than a couple of years to get in this stinking state. I do think the dad can be cut some slack because while the poor soul has been away working and slogging his guts out the rest of them do fek all and just live in 💩 and mess. And the fact she calls it a ruin in to a castle😂. Those poor dogs too. Why have they got several that they bothered to house train and not the youngest one? And likely they don't bother walking them. As they all seem bone idle. And they don't look clean in themselves either.

The comparable cleaning product in the USA and also Canada is trisodium phosphate, also known as "TSP". However, due to environmental concerns about the impact of phosphorus on lakes and streams, products labeled TSP may not actually contain any trisodium phosphate

Not all brits are like this lol. I'm 19 look after my daughter full time and clean every chance I have and my bungalow is lovely! It's just sheer laziness and excuses and it's upsetting when people spend their time and effort making it clean and de cluttered when they just mess it all up again and put their health in danger 🙄
