I have been fortunate to listen to many of his lectures at Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral Home in Shimla Street. Swamiji had just become a Sannyasi from Bramhachari. And everyone who saw him and listened to him instantly felt that He is very very special.

Once a family, frequent visitors to Ramakrishna, took their kid to the RK ashram, RK was happy to see the child and advised the family to get the child initiated. That parents said let the child grow to adulthood. RK said no. Initiation first, then anything else. The right age for initiation is childhood. You are from a blessed family.

The essential qualification to become one is the instinct. The instinct is a self functioning force. An inner urge . Because you're born with it . Otherwise it doesn't happen.It is lying dormant in the inner core. The outer layer is burdened with thick foam of Karmma.

Really felt great when I was a student and you used to take our History classes & made it so interesting. Taught us about methods of meditation showed us great movies like Gladiator after our half yearly exams and on weekends as well :)

I wish I could have been able to grow up near an ashram. In the United States, almost not possible. My state doesn't even have a Ramakrishna order. But my striving for religion at least gives my children an good chance. I hope they are inspired to become monastics

Look at swamiji eyes.They are very deep .I dont know ,I find it very different. So the theory ,that if in your previous birth you were spiritual,you will be born in a family of spirituality to help you evolve and get liberated is true.Swamiji is diffrent ,elevated soul ,and this amazing capacity seems of his previous births.He is defnitely much much above the ladder than millions.What discriminate me and swamiji? He is more evolved and near liberation.God how long will I suffer like this ???

It is just the inner urge. Nothing is accidental. There's an element of the stream of Karmma which is what life and the whole Samsara yathra is all about. You are living your Karmma. Birth,living and death happens in the stream. Aham Na Kartha.
