Not even the Monks of 1155/80 claim the whole battle was fought at Battle Abbey merely a ( note the indefinite article) standard was seen to fall to the ground where the observing monks placed the High Altar. William of Malmesbury in 1125 only reports that " By Tradition" Harold was killed at Battle Abbey. The Battle of Hastings is so much more nuanced than two armies hacking away at each other for 9 hours at one location. The reason why the Normans won imo is that 1. The Huscarls eschewed fighting on horseback which gave the advantage to the Norman knights ( but the Norman infantry didn't fare so well - see scenes 51 and 52 of the Bayeux Tapestry) and 2. When the Norman knights came up against the main body perched on a ridge, even though initially they suffered heavy losses, the Fyrd were not as disciplined as the Huscarls in standing their ground. ( The Fyrd chased after what they thought were retreating knights only to be cut down when the knights changed direction ! It's all there in William of Poitiers "Gesta Guillelmi".

Well, Normans also fought on horseback. If this starts suggesting they only fought on horseback....

If you make cheap AI illustrations already, why do you not make them historical? All those "paintings" are 100% fantasy. Not a single one is giving an imagination of 11th century norman or saxon materialism. Not one. This is an extremely dangerous thing that we see here. Cheap productions simply making up things to be not "restricted" by science. It would be not bad, if you would act like telling fantasy stories. But you are not. You pretend to produce a historical documentary here. And with this fantasy illustrations, it's clearly not.
