Despite the radiation, wolf numbers are over 7 times higher in the zone compared with uncontaminated areas. Various bird species nest in the roofs of abandoned buildings. Authorities are considering turning the uninhabitable zone into a biosphere to study native animal populations.

misinformed, chernobyl is mostly clear of radiation except in areas where wind can't get to and so radioactive compounds just stayed there.
