This is a practical video with all information that will help you enjoy a perfect cup of black tea.

Once again, Edward has produced a beautiful video in his own unique style. I have to say that as a tea drinker, I have enjoyed all Edward’s videos to date. Edwards’s ability to explain the essence of all things tea related is wonderful. Watchers will no doubt agree, Edward has a wonderful aura, clearly evident to me when experiencing his videos that brings happiness. Nice work Edward 🙏

Nice video! Quarantine has had me reminiscing about good times I had drinking gongfu tea with my friends abroad.. I have been brewing more gongfu tea at home now since I miss them~

Tea is all about good moment. A good practice is to brew the same tea at the same time if we have to be separate. The idea is to have the same sensory and experience with your friends although you can gather in person. It might tastes different or the same, which doesn't really matter, however, the friendship will be strengthened for sure.

Tea is beautiful, and it has always been in my life. Hopefully, through my video, ppl appreciate more what's in the cup. But I am not a professional video maker or whatever. You would definitely know that if you checked my video I made at the beginning. LMAO...

I replied the difference between 功夫茶 and 工夫茶 to one tea lovers and I would like to share it here: 功夫茶 refers to the way of presenting tea or brewing tea while 工夫茶 refers to the style of producing tea. Historically, when black tea producing method was spread to some places where they had made green tea for a long time, this new method (black tea) took longer time than the previous one (green tea). This is a commonly confused pair of characters but again I appreciate your comment. BTW, in daily conversations, 工夫 refers to the time consumed, which implies a long time, but it doesn't have to be. 功夫 means an art or a skill that takes time and efforts to attain, such as martial arts. 😊

Great video, Edward. I have not seen anyone cover these subjects yet and it was great to finally hear someone do so. I would love to hear you address it even more. When you speak of temperatures would you mind also providing Fahrenheit as well? I have also heard people measure time in slow breaths. When you say black tea, do you mean red teas - hong cha or hei cha?

Qimen black tea is a "hong cha" black tea, it says at 4:03. It isn't post-fermented like hei cha

Yes, that's correct. Hong (red) cha is black tea while Hei (black) cha is dark tea.

Hello edward, i need a steer in the right direction. There is this boba shop .. that i've been going to. They use tea bag btw. So the notes... iono how they do it... but this black tea is unlike any other tea places I've had... This tea is a very dark color tea...i will say dark golden brown and it contains strong notes of a DARK chocolate hits you right away... very nutty as well and the after taste is like a mild fermentation... not that sour or "astringent?" .. it doesn't leave any weird feelings on my teeth at all...Do you know what type of of black tea is being used??

It's the same if you can measure the size. That's why the package of one serving black tea is usually about 5 grams while oolong, which requires a bigger ratio, usually comes with a 8-10 grams package.
