I had a “bad back” until I read Dr. Sarno’s book and found TMS or PDP. I stopped responding to my back and the pain left. Last winter I shoveled snow. In the past that would always start the pain again. Last year, no pain with shoveling, no matter how strenuous it was. I’m 70 and my back is better than it was when I was in my forties. My MRI shows a significantly degenerated disc but it just doesn’t bother me at all.

Exellent video. I found you through Raelan. This is so true! I used the same techniques to heal myself from a 7 year anxiety disorder many years ago. The author of the book wrote "You won't get better, until you stop trying to get better", and that has stuck in my mind ever since. 2 years ago I had CFS set in after a ton of awful stress then a bad virus, I got better over 7 months, then I got Covid and ended up with Long Covid for the past 19 months. I knew as soon as I came across people teaching brain retraining, that this is the way to heal from conditions like CFS/Long Covid, because I've used a similar approach before and it worked. Thank you for your amazing content Dan 🙌

This morning my brain has tried throwing every symptom at me. I could've engaged with every hospital department! 🎶 Head shoulders knees and toes sprang to mind🎶😂. At one point I nearly caved into the "maybe" doubting scenario but I did get up the park and do a longer walk. I have no doubt this is PDP but sometimes it can be draining. Work in progress, I know I can get there. Thanks for the video, much appreciated 👍

Hey Dan, I’ve noticed a striking similarity to Neville Goddards teachings on manifestation and what you and DR sarno taught. Neville says that to manifests anything you want in life you must first hold the vision in your mind as if you have it and then proceed to WALK IN THE PATH of one who already has it! basically, both teach that when we implant a belief in to our subconscious we can literally change the course of our life and things start coming to us. Therefore if we act sick and let fear rule us we will stay sick but if we just have the knowledge that everything is normal and we aren’t going to die we cut out all the panic and fear and can then begin to reprogram our belief and that in turn will create the healing we want. Quite mind blowing isn’t it 🤯

And I was so excited to think that ppl who watch her channel will find out about tms/pdp and you !! Hopefully even more cfs/tms pll will start watching your videos and find out about this stuff ,start implementing it! 🦄 in the past 6 mths I have improved so sooo much in mindset , understanding and physical capabilities due to watching your videos and doing a neuroplasticity course that taught very similar things to what you teach, so I know this is the way out! But your video today was a great reminder because I know/realise I still get frustrated with sensations which slows down the process 🙃

Please answer these two simple questions please . Why have we been taught from day one that pain is the way your body is telling your brain that something is wrong ? And why do you say to not ignore your brain telling you that you are in pain ?
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou 5 ай бұрын
Pain IS your brain telling you there is a danger. I don't tell people to ignore their pain because it is impossible. We will notice it. And when we do, we can interpret it based on fear or accurate knowledge. I recommend we learn more about pain and it's cause. Then we can begin to teach the brain to turn it off. DansFastStart.com

Hi Dan, I have been doing somatic tracking and have changed my response to my low back and nerve pain. If I use ice for relief or take medication, will this hinder my recovery? How often should one use somatic tracking? This has been chronic for 4 years 66 years old.
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou 11 ай бұрын
Hey Nancy: Somatic tracking isn't a process I used for my recovery, so I can't really advise. Alan Gordon is the one teaching that concept. He has a book called The Way Out where he describes it at length. Medication will not hinder recovery if you simply view it as self compassion and kindness and not a cure. Ice, I don't recommend because that can cause the brain to be convinced that your BODY is the problem. It's not. The brain is creating the pain, so ice cannot help long term. In the meanwhile, I teach daily on KZfaq and have created a playlist of the fundamental videos which will tell you what is going on and what to do about it. Watch it here: kzfaq.info/sun/PLRJmnkn2kTTIl4frNvmpenr49xcTmVl2H

I love your videos thank you! Alan Gordon recommends Somatic Traking in his book, shouldn't you do this? Or it is said that the symptoms or pain arise from suppressed emotions. Shouldn't you find out what these suppressed emotions are in order to become pain-free again? I just don't know how to go about getting pain free. I was almost pain free for two weeks and suddenly the pain comes back and I don't know why. It came out of nowhere.

Hi Dan, I really find your videos so helpful! I have recently injured my shoulder and was referred to see a physiotherapist, who went "too fast, to heavy " that resulted in heaving pain occasionally to being unable to do simple daily tasks..Having consulted Dr Google, I am now residing in "freak out " state most of the time. My doctor now prescribed the MRI that I am also concerned about as it can be further anxiety provoking (as I am aware that the imaging doesn't always explain things). In addition, the thoughts of potential unessary treatments (steroid injections, or the meds) further exacerbate my highly aroused state. The cherry on the cake that I am finding it difficult to manage my anger towards the physiotherapist, who proved to be totally incompetent.. Oh, dear...What am I to do?😢
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou 10 ай бұрын
Evaluate what happened. Injuries hurt the second they happen. Was your pain instant? The MRI will tell if there is any physical damage or not. If not, it may not be an injury after all. Pain is not a reliable indicator of an injury. It is definitely a reliable indicator of the brain perceiving danger. I'm not claiming there was no injury, but sometimes it is just an acute onset of pain from a brain perceiving danger. This video explains. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fb9jh8ib0L3GcYk.html Also, Watch my fast start playlist. I share what is going on and what to do about it. How can you get through the fear when the pain is so bad 24/7? My pain has been at a steady 8 to 10 for the last year. I am trying to figure out why??? Even though I understand the whole concept of tms I am still getting worse not better. It is unbearable. So what do you do if you don't ignore the symptoms, how do you cope with it? I have done the curable boot camp, read all the books on tms, worked on issues, and nothing has calmed my nervous symptom down and now I am having panic attacks every day and rarely leave the house. I know you can answer the why's of all that I am experiencing. I am worn out and don't know how much more I can take of this.

I do totally understand what you are saying. Its just, all of my symptoms come from an exhausted brain that is giving me symptoms because of 2 reasons. 1 is because i exhausted my brain and feel delay in my head all the time, causing dizzy and eye issues 2 is because i do feel so unsteady because of these symptoms. I want to live normal live but am a bit afraid to do so, because i keep feeling anxiety that my brain cant handle doing normal stuff now...because its so exhausted....afraid that i do to much and my brain will get even more exhausted🥺 So i want to believe and convince my brain i am safe...but, it does not really feel safe when i am outside and feel unsteady and weird when i look around and feel these visual and body unsteadiness 😅 i just dont know how i can really convince myself i am safe... it feels so unsafe all the time🥺

I understand the feeling of unsafety. It is a gradual process. We tend to find what we believe and what we are looking for. Your brain is in the habit of looking for the unsafety. What would happen if you began looking for all the ways that you actually ARE safe? Symptoms do not mean danger. They mean PERCEIVED danger. Not actual.
