Your style of presentation is very good, the content and explanations are greatly appreciated. Your transparency, honesty, no details withheld, and genuine positive attitude help in understanding this new translational regenerative medicine. I truly wish this treatment with uMSCs was available throughout the US. Sadly the clinical application has been driven offshore as evidenced by the numerous umbilical cord derived mesenchymal stem/stromal cell application clinics in many different countries. Mexico has many clinics large and small offering standardized protocol treatments with success. Thank you for your videos presenting different aspects of this science.

Thank you so much! Fun facts about stem cells in the US: No federal law does or ever did ban stem cell research or use in the United States. Many people ask if the treatments we provide are approved by the FDA or some other agency. First, it is important to understand that the FDA has absolutely no jurisdiction over physicians and clinics. This includes how to practice, treat, or use drugs, devices, or biologics. This activity is governed by state law and is largely left to the independent medical judgment of the practitioner. The FDA actually admits openly that it does not “regulate a physician's or nurse's practice [and] does not tell providers what to do when running their business or what they can or cannot tell their patients.” Essentially the FDA views biological products made by commercial labs as drugs. One of the reasons we've used uMSCs for years is we don't manufacture and distribute the cells . The medicine we make gets used on our patients only and is not for commercial distribution. Arizona permits naturopathic physicians to diagnose and treat disease with a wide range of procedures and natural medicines. This includes administering stem cells for therapeutic use. Innate Healthcare Institute uses stem cells manufactured in its own lab. The Institute is also fully committed to staying compliant with all laws, regulations, and guidelines that govern the use of stem cells. It has retained a national law firm that specializes in healthcare and FDA law to guide it through the legal processes and provide the most up-to-date counsel. In this way, you can be sure that Innate Healthcare Institute will always serve its patients within all legal and medical parameters. Americans SHOULD NOT have to travel outside of the most advanced country in the nation for stem cell procedures!

Are cord cell injections available at your Arizona clinic? It was my understanding that this isn't allowed in the US.

Yes, we can use umbilical cord cells. Most rumors that stem cells aren't allowed in the U.S. are perpetuated from overseas clinics it seems. Short answer is they are and it depends on the state and the doctor's medical board. Check out our FAQ section on our webpage. There's a section regarding legality. innatehealthcare.org/general-faq/

have you found any success injecting UC-MSC cells intradiscally at the l5-s1 for DDD and an annual tear? Curious to hear your professional opinion there. Thanks for the video!

I have not found a need to inject into the disc. It's a tough, fibrous tissue that can't have a lot of fluid in it anyway, which leaves a higher chance for adverse events when trying to inject into it. I find it's just fine to inject around the disc and have had great success. Someone that does intradiscal may have a different opinion. I was going to learn how to when I first started but a very experienced interventional radiologist convinced me otherwise.
