I have a very EU specific issue where I forget that Visas are even a thing and end up panicked at the last minute when I realize that no, I can't just walk into Russia with my ID. Another great video KhAnubis! Love how you discuss these pretty unique topics.

I'd call that a First World problem, but it's only a problem for maybe half of the First World. (And less if the UK ever figures out how Brexit is gonna work.)

For most countries, visas technically don't actually grant you access to the country - instead visas are prerequisites for you to show up at the border and the border agents will decide whether you're allowed in or not

I'm a bit annoyed at my government (Australia) at the moment. my step mum is Thai, and has a student visa. Her son from her previous marriage lives with his grandparents. We have been trying to get him a visa for a 1 month holiday here to get him used to the culture here, seeing it is very different to the village culture. We've been declined both times, so we're waiting until my step mum gets citizenship. Don't mind me spewing my life story :)

@@Fatihturk0071 The EU gives me 420€ per month so that I can study in Sweden. I can move freely whenever and wherever I want. They invest in hundreds of projects that benefit local and international regions. You can just google it. They have a webpage where they list all their projects and how much money they spent.

Cool little thing: Palestinian authority citizens (except Gaza) can travel to Jordan without paying the visa fee and can stay up to a month (I think). I mainly just use that to cross the land bridge separating jericho and jordan.

As far as I know, the EU approved no visa travel for UK citizens as long as they also reciprocate like all countries must do that would like to enter into such an agreement with Schengen Area countries.

Can you do a video about consular assistance? As both British and German citizen I technically have access to Consular assistance from 80 countries (UK, Germany, all other EU countries and all other Commonwealth countries). I’m not sure how much help I’d get from some of those countries though.

One little itty bitty detail worth noting: successfully getting a visa does not automatically grant an individual entrance into a country. The traveler is still subject to inspection by immigration officials at the border, and if those officials find enough evidence that the traveler intends to breach his/her visa restrictions, that visa can be canceled at the border (with the traveler being sent home of course).

Whats the maximum stay in the uk with just a passport... I looked that i can still up to six months but im still confused cuz the. I also see that i need a standard visa.. is my passport a standard visa this is my first time traveling to the uk ive been in the uk for about 3 months now staying with my bf and have income coming in every week.. i just really need someone to clear this up for me so i dont get in trouble im trying to expand my stay for a year and idk what to do should just call the uk embassy or the us embassy..

Visas are not sent to you to put in your passport yourself, the embassy or consulate puts the visa in your passport for you.

1:25 Taiwan isn't part of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Macau and Hong Kong are part of the PRC. Taiwan is the majority of land controlled by the Republic of China (RoC)

the EU thing in your video is false. the area free of travel restrictions that you refer to is the Schengen area, which is a separate entity to the EU. for example, Ireland and cyprus are in the EU but not the Schengen area, which means that you still have to go through broader control to go from say France to Cyprus. another note, even when the UK was in the EU, it was never part of the Schengen area, so you still had to show your passport when crossing the UK-France broader.

Hi Khanubis, can you make a video on why some countries need visa to country a, whereas other countries don't need visa to country a? is it the political social and economic status of the country? for example, malaysia can go to UK no visa but Philippine citizens need visa for UK or better yet Philippines a spanish colony but NEED visa to Spain whereas Malaysia is UK colony but don't need visa to UK and Spain what is the reason behind this?

AdoboTravels Each country pair has their own unique reasons for allowing or not allowing visa free travel so it depends on which countries you are talking about. For instance the EU requires any country that wants Visa free access, to give All EU citizens 90 day visa free access to their country. The Philippines will not do that so they can't get visa free access. Whereas Malaysia does do it and thus was able to negotiate visa free access.

To be "fair," the US charges a lot for almost every visa, and in return, those countries also charge a lot for US citizens to get visas. Case and point: China charges US citizens $140 for a Chinese visa, but citizens of other countries are only charged $30-$90. Why? Because the US charges Chinese citizens $140, so it has to be equal both ways.

I have a passport with all the stamps in chronological order (I managed not to piss off border officers by asking them “Can you put the stamp here?”)... But I’ll need to go to China in a bit... I hope there’s a way to ask them to stick the visa sticker on the correct page haha I wouldn’t want them to ruin my passport

@@DarthCookieKS compared to? my UK and US visa costs more than 100 dollars while Schengen visa cost only like 50 dollars. I definitely appreciate policy difference, but sometimes they just charge you so much without providing proper service. Even an extra trivial visa service could charge you more than 100 dollars. It is like robbing people who need that service. They are not flight companies are they?

I live in Israel, and i wanted to go to the U.S... my dad talked with a man who works in the U.S embassy (in tel aviv back then) and paid a lot of money then we went to the embassy asked us a couple of questions and took our passports... 2 weeks later we went to the mail and got our passports with a U.S Visa page on it

normal people who seek to work and live in that country should freely cross borders, and not on visas or who have corrupt passports.

correction. the VISA does not grant you entry to a country, the VISA merely allows you to board a vessel and present yourself at the Port of Entry. Entry can only be granted by the immigration officer at the port of entry. The immigration officer has the right to deny you entry even with a valid visa. Ask US Customs and Inmigration.

The Visa allows you to enter the country and is the official document but is not the only requirement. Customs always has to approve you. You can enter a vessel going to another country without a Visa. You'll be refused entry into the country on arrival though
