This arc is so much more intricate than I remembered. I remember all the important parts and all the characters big and small, but the way it is put together, how drama, action and comedy switch up and how slowly each part is revealed is brilliant.

and I honestly hate it. one of those fruits that had no defined rules and it does whatever it has to for the plot. other infamous examples include a certain bear-pastor-tyrant's, and doctor-swordsman's (both of what i still had no clear idea what they are supposed to do except it's some random bs evey damn time) i prefer much more fruits that had an extremely simple idea but are used in creative way (like ace's or buggie's) over the ones that every time are used you have no idea what it will do

Fun fact: the sea-prism stone was already alluded to in Loguetown! Buggy and Alvida managed to be captured by nets during their escape,despite their devil fruit powers,because of their "anti-devil fruit" properties. A lot of people are initially confused about that moment until it gets explained here. It's also why Smoker was reaching for his baton when he first pinned Luffy down,before Dragon stopped him.

The Arabasta arc in the manga was from the year 2000 - 2002 and Oda is 49 years old which means he was 25 - 27 years old coming up with this stuff.

Since they haven't seen the openings, it doesn't manipulate what they recognize and who dies or not. Which is perfect. Most reactors watch the openings for some reason and that ruins the expectations of the show.

Man, Miss All-Sunday & Crocodile's abilities are so strong and so cool. Also, it's unclear how she blew up Igaram's boat, but remember, right before it exploded, there were a bunch of arms that appeared on-screen. So she did something, but who knows what?

It's my personal opinion that "All Sunday's" devil fruit is one of the potentially strongest in the series. It seems so simple, but think of everything you could do with it, especially if she had similar ingenuity to Stand users you find in the JoJo series.

The Alabasta arc is an arc that is very intense and full of conflict, there are many problems involved... Government, Kingdom, Shicibukai/warlords, Rebels, Marines, and Pirates... it's all in one and there are lots of lessons to be learned later. keep it up we love your reactions....

@@ilyes3624 Interestingly, we haven't actually seen any logias properly fly. Smoker and Ace in this arc both jump real good, but you can see when Smoker is chasing Luffy that he's still jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Surely he wouldn't bother touching down if he could simply fly, right? It's certainly ambiguous, at least. Even so, it is worth pointing out that Pell says "types" here, and not individual fruits. For all we know, those types could be "The bird bird fruits", "gas logias", "energy logias", and two more broader categories like that. Suffice to say, the power of flight is rare in One Piece, and it's safe to accept that as a general principle, regardless of the specifics.

@@curtishammer748 I think Pell just not knowing better is the best explanation in world, but I think it's fine to just say Oda hadn't planned for the series to be as long as it ended up being at this stage and restricting flight to 5 types or coming up with 5 contrived types would hurt the story which is why this statement never comes up again. Without too many spoilers, half the logias allow flight, there's a bunch zoans that we know about and just by logic probably loads more that we just haven't seen, and there's a bunch of paramecias that allow flight in one way or another. I think you really have to stretch logic or come up with contrived reasons to make the "5 type" statement work which is why I say it's best to just ignore it

Yeah Robin's power is pretty OP and each sprouted limb has its own individual strength which is why she can snap people like that though its big downside is each limb is connected to its original body part so if one or multiple of the body part copies is injured her main body suffers the damage

This is my favourite arc of the entire series and Vivi is my third favourite Strawhat after Luffy and Chopper. I never forget to move my old K-F folders every time I get a new hard drive (I'm glad I can stream all of One Piece in HD now from NF and CR, but 4:3 480i just hits differently, though I have to emulate the CRT effect being unable to find a decent one for sale where I live now)

Miss All Sunday power is very pratical but not that overpowered, since she needs to get close to attack and it leaves a big room for people to grab her. She is just that good and doesn't let that happen, but its a big weak point

Everybody talks about how ridiculous it is that the Straw Hats fell for such an obvious trap as going the way a sign said that pirates should go while inside a fancy casino. Nobody talks about the utter absurdity that *Crocodile*, the most serious and humorless big bad we've met in the series would put up a sign that says "Pirates go this way". The man is so cold-blooded that his laugh is monotone, but he made a gag trap in his base of operations. Unpack that, Reddit.
