I dont think everyone reads body language the same way. We don't all have the same personalities or come from the same upbringing or cultures. Your body language could be too much for one person and just right for another. Could be warm and loving to one and clingy to another. Strong and independent to one and cold/standoffish to another. I have been a WING WOMAN "Chaperone" on dates with friends many times to help them feel comfortable and give them feedback. I know what Loni is saying but...there are a lot of adults that haven't dated in decades, so they are afraid and insecure. They feel better having a friend there to be an emotional buffer, and give them feedback afterward. I don't see a problem with it.

Does the couple have a say in who the chaperone is? Can they come up with ground rules and boundaries prior to the date? Will the couple be allowed to ask the chaperones questions prior to the date? What are the chaperones intentions?Are there any hidden agendas or biases? After the date, how often will they be allowed to interject their opinions in your relationship? Are there any conflict of interests interfering in this situation? How many of these dates actually lead to healthy, edifying, evolved, fulfilling relationships or marriages ? How often have relationships ended due to their advice and input?

I would definitely have a chaperone on a date. If they don’t respect you enough to understand basic respect and safety they aren’t worth meeting
