Enjoying the series - its cathartic watching you go through the same journey and progression most of us in the FGC have done at some point. Great goal as well. Challenging for sure, but not impossible by any stretch of the imagination if you stay comitted.

Knowing what to practice makes a dramatic difference in how long it takes to improve. One of the biggest pitfalls for someone who's new to fighting games is focusing too much of their attention on their combos first. It is okay not to have optimal combos. Even basic ones will suffice. Very successful FGC players like Justin Wong, Gamera, and Punk are known to have bad combos. So, how are they always successful? Fighting. Game. Fundamentals. They've honed their basic fundamental skills to the best of their ability, and these fundamentals can transfer across most fighting games in general. If you'd like, I can drop a playlist of fundamental videos that I've managed to scavenge across KZfaq upon request. I review them myself upon occasion as a refresher despite having some success in FGC brackets myself. Keep up the content! Good luck on your journey & @ EVO Vegas!

I love everything about this I appreciate the resources and would dig anything you would recommend Definitely noticed that about a lot of high high level play. Less set piece combos and more tactical bursts of moves and reads

Don't forget to analyze your losses in replays and note down anything that gave you trouble and solve it in the lab! Ask questions to yourself or others, be as specific as possible. Think about where the "losing" started to occur. It can be as something as small as "walking backwards toward the corner too much".
