I was trying to help in chat but was pretty drowned out, so I can explain finally here! Once the meter fills you can press A+B+C to go into hyper mode, and during that you can do the supers. Each character also has a target combo that can end in a super if you do it with full meter, or if you start it you can also go off and do a custom combo, which is why you were able to mash, once you do the first two hits of the target combo, you can pretty much do anything you want.

ADK were underrated devs for the Neo Geo. This title, Fighters History Dynamite, and Twinkle Star Sprites are must plays on Neo Geo.

I remember a bit of an exploit with the character that he's playing. if you do the crescent kick move and the cpu guards it, you can just command grab them right after that and the cpu won't escape. Remember cheesing and beating the game in the arcades when I was a kid using that.

Loving the obscure fighting game videos in the hands of master JWong. What is everyone's favorite fighting game of all time? Mine would have to be Street Fighter 2 Turbo on the SNES.

I decided to boot this game up because it looked fun, and Justin was not kidding about the mashing. You mash buttons, combo come out. Special and super cancels however, seem really inconsistent as combo enders. It must take some weirdly specific timing to link normals into specials. Overall, it's super fun little Last Blade-style 2d weapon fighter - which is kind of weird since SNK also made the Last Blade games, and they're better than this (at least the 2nd one is, I've never played the first one).

This game is super awesome. Wish Justin looked at how to do combos instead of just saying you have to mash to do the combos. That isn't necessarily true. You can do that but it will only get you so far in terms of optimal combo damage.
