Kentucky fan here. You are 100% right about Billy being the ONLY reason that Florida is a tier above other SEC schools (on par with Arkansas & besides us of course). My argument against Billy is College Basketball in 2007 is very different than basketball in 2024. Billy is older and not as long of a shelf life on that coaching career. I really dont mean to coach steal & would strongly also like Nate Oats but Scott is a guy. I would take Dan Hurley but we are going to have to start Considering UCONN among the Blue Bloods. They have earned that right.

I’m a diehard Kentucky fan , I think Scott Drew is a great coach and a good dude. I just hope he can deal with the media, expectations, fans… I love Cal I just hope Scott can fill his shoes.

Buddy, speaking for most Kentucky fans, we DO NOT want Scott Drew. Our AD wants a church buddy, most of us want Donovan, Oats or Dan Hurley. Most of us view Drew as Tubby Smith 2.0.

Look at it this way Baylor fans. If Coach Drew were to come to the BBN, he has built Baylor into a powerhouse program that will/would be an extremely attractive job for another high level coach. I don't know if we will hire Scott Drew, only coach Drew and AD Barnhard can answer that question. But remember this, either way, Baylor will still be Baylor. And with or without coach Drew your program is in a really good place. Relax, let it play out, it'll be fine either way.

I have seen almost every commenter on tons of news sites, Kentucky webpages, Instagram all from Kentucky fans saying they don’t want Scott Drew for several reasons. Drew is just a 20yr veteran coach with a championship that's all...IMO Drew doesn't need UK they need him. The thought that Baylor is a better job than Louisville get out Waco and look at Drew beginning looks like Louisville last 2yrs . Louisville just didn't give Payne 20yrs to win a championship
