I'd love to see a video on the improvements in efficiency you've made in the past two years in manufacturing the main product lines such as the pallets. John's video from 2 years ago is really neat but I know you went way further now.

For picking stuff from a pile you can use "until contact" node available in 5.4 update. Also it's easier to use freedrive when you grab by tool flange, where precision force-torque sensor is.

This is so awesome to learn about - thanks so much for covering the subject. I was wondering how I would keep employees safe from open spinning blades when I start manufacturing and this robot would be perfect!

@Jay You should think about implementing your pallets as end effectors for the UR robots

Amazing video as always! One piece of feed back is remove the bloopers countdown, it distracted me from what you were saying.

Happy to see robots and humans working together. Also sad to see that big strong men are no longer needed to move big heavy things. Though honestly, that's been happening 4ever. The invention of the wheel made things so much easier. I sit on a frame that has 2 wheels and wouldn't you know, gravity moves me so fast. My girlfriend can't move me off the couch :D

I know a vendor who installed two of these exact models and yes they are really cool but they claim it loses position on one of them after 300 cycles. I’ll see if I can get a version to compare.

How heavy is the plates you are picking up? I spoke with a gentleman at a trade show last week (who sells ur) and he discouraged me from ur10 due to my part weight being 20lb. He said after an end effector it won't lift my parts..... Thanks. Great vid! Love the fixture Fridays

UR10e lifts a guaranteed 22 lbs and our end effector weighs 3 oz.

Regardless of what the UR reps says, I would NOT recommended handling a payload close to the max capacity. It's going to fault more often and any small misfit when picking or placing parts is going to fault. Once you get above 20 lbs things get more difficult.

@@adisharr And I would NOT recommend taking advice from KZfaq comments. Every UR owner knows the max has a built in factor of safety and can easily lift the max capacity.
