Thank you very much! I just love what I do. I am glad you can notice it. On top of this, I am in the lovely position to have our boats built in the exact way I would do it for myself...and I do work for a company with 49 years of tradition and experience in doing just that. If than that many owners bringing in so many ideas and experiences ...something like this could be the result

Herr Schmidt, the pride in your company and in your boats is quite evident on your face, and quite understandable. You and your team put a lot of effort into quality that isn't obvious to the casual observer but will improve longevity, durability, and safety. The whole team cares about constantly looking for ways to make Sirius Yachts even better. I'm so impressed. Thank you very much for your statement and sharing this! you are very much welcome ;-) This is just about the tour through the yard and explanation of our processes anyone would get who likes to visit us, interested in your yachts. It`s a great chance for us to make people understand what passion and attention to detail our guys are building into their projects. We sometimes have family members not that interested in seeing the workshop in the first place. But most of them feel very nicely entertained and seriously interested after a few minutes into it. It does make the differences in quality and dedication much easier to understand. Please see for yourself if you have a chance to drop by!

Nothing better than seeing the skills, and wisdom of a craftsman and more impressive is a CEO that has the knowledge and heart in the company and its products. It’s evident everyone at Sirius has the passion. From design, engineering and legacy a company like this is key to being true to the end product and its customers. To see a CEO as knowledgeable and skilled in the design, operations and production is rare. Impressive ! These boats are amazing. The cabin under the saloon table is a great concept for a cruiser, as is the workshop area. If I had the money for a yacht I know where I'd spend it.

I love these boats. I am disabled and watch the Sirius videos several times a day. I am addicted to Sirius Yachts. I would love to see the factory and to go for a sail in one. My dream boat. None to see in the San Francisco Bay Area :-( Thank you for sharing again Torsten Cheers, Jay

Interesting comment. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue many years ago but have since been "undiagnosed" and treated by a doctor that knows what she is doing. But what I would do five years ago when things were really bad was watch videos on the Jonathon Ward channel. He restores pre1982 Landcruiser fj40's to better than original condition, with new engines, new suspension, and he "geeks out" on creating new bumper designs, dashboard designs...etc... What I find interesting is how I changed into a person that views these craftsmen as artists and what they produce represents freedom. Some of us are not free because our bodies have betrayed us, but the hope and dreams associated with what these artists create has helped me so much.

So nice to see that true craftsmanship still exists ! You are building functional sculpture. Details like thicker veneers add to the longevity of the boat. I have been building custom woodwork for over 40 years and I'm very impressed !

wonderful! wonderful! Good video! I really liked the thought and quality into thinking about safety and handling and structural integrity under the seaway. Please have more videos of this nature, as a future customer; I would love to see more of your boats being built. Love it! A company the build strong boats first! I have a 1988 C&C 44 from there custom shop that has quite a few similarities as far as construction...laminated hull deck joint, laminated frame the entire length of the hull, etc... it's very comforting in heavy weather... it's great to see a company taking the time and expense to build something that is going to last and is safe!

Amazing boat. The shop is probably too small, but I think a Sirius 50DS would be a stunner of a long term, bluewater boat. Well made with really smart and creative features.

+1 on the 50DS that would be one of those "take my money" moments for me. *Torsten email me when you get ready to build that 50DS - we gotta talk.

I´d love a Sirius 48 DS as well, please :-), but if we believe the many testing magazines the Sirius 40 DS already offers the equivalent interior space of a 47-48. But honestly, there will be a larger Sirius once...maybe sooner than later, we already had some meetings about it and are working on first studies...but we do still wonder (why and) where you will need more space. The 40 already features 3 spacious double staterooms, two heads and the workshop. Apart from waterline length for more hull speed we are still searching for additional rectifications for going bigger. Maybe a dingy garage instead of the davits, but this will waiver the possibility of a luxurious aft cabin? … or three instead of 2 of the 3 cabins big enough to be master cabins? …more ideas anybody???

@@SiriusYachts i love this comment! Why make a biger yatch? Just to have more wardrobes? 🤣🤣 Two kitchens maybe? I see a lot of megayatchs or just big ones with excessive "luxury" that seems useles if you're in a boat meant to be sailed, just get a mansion for that! Loving your boats, specially the 310ds and 35ds, my point of view is wanting to solo circumnavigate around the world, and those two are the smallest boats I've seen that feel much bigger, that's not an easy thing to do! And its very important for solo sailing since you want the smallest boat possible to be able to control as much as possible by yourself, while having the best comfort and accessibility possible in long and hard passages and bad weather. Is there more info to read about the keel types/construction method? I've seen the variants on the web but no info apart fron that!

Thank you. We thought it was better to show our facilities while they were in use. We could have filmed out of hours but with no one around the factory feels dead, with everyone working it feels full of life. There are times when tools, extraction systems and machinery dominate the audio, but hopefully you can understand all that we are saying?

As I mentioned on one of your other videos this is so impressive and beautiful to the eye and if you ever wished to sponsor a disabled family man with a vessel my dream of showing the world to my children would be there if not it's still beautiful and very well thought out very professional and the finish is just craftsmanship congratulations

Thank you! We are and have always been in the lovely position to have our boats built in the exact way we would do it for ourselves...and have always been able to take our customers with us and make them understand and appreciate the way we do it and willing to pay for it. If you than work for a company with 50 years of tradition and experience in doing just that and so many owners bringing in so many ideas and experiences ...something like this could be the result

....but I am totally with you, if we are talking quality- and mass production methods! The guys at Hunter, Bavaria, Jeanneau and other mass producers are doing a very good job in terms of "how can I built as much boat for as little money" and I am admiring them for it. This is good for the market, as it brings people onto the water and makes chartering possible for more people….and I am also sure some of them offer very good value for money. What I am wondering since years is, if the balance is still right? There have also been mass produced boats in the 80s and 90s and some of them have been brilliant, ergonomically and solidly built. In the last 20 years, all has been optimised for “how can I reduce the production time from 14 days to 10 days”. But even a Bavaria will be 40 years old at one stage…a Hallberg-Rassy or Sirius maybe 100 years. So how must a boat be constructed and set up? To be “produced 4 days faster” or “how does it benefit from its construction the next 30 to 60 years?” I personally would think, this is too much out of balance in some areas…

Incredible high quality build . I hope they can find enough customers who can afford all this quality. Can't see Americans paying for this amount of quality,! Glad to see it can be done right! Cheers Warren

Thanks for the compliment and glad you liked it and noticed the dedication for quality! Our boats are available all around the world and been sold to 28 different countries by now. Amongst them the USA and Canada are picking up very fast now...but having said this, we are not building that many compared to others. I am generally very happy that we also have mass producers and less pricy boats to bring people into sailing and holding it more affordable. But we do have found our niche in perfecting our product generally and individually for each and every customer. This does come at a price and will sadly not be affordable for everybody but as they keep their value very, very well sometimes compare very good, even to much lower priced boats, if you calculate deprivation into it as well. The investment into it will still be much higher compared to many. Then there are also used boats on the market profiting from the built quality very much as well even on Sirius Yachts nearly 50 years old now ;-). There are some people nearly in every country who are willing and able to pay for this amount of quality - often instead of going for a much bigger boat - ...and thankfully also many of the min the US

@@SiriusYachts Hi Torsten, I didn't mean my comment as a criticism of Bavaria, I have sailed many Bavaria yachts and I appreciate that many many people can only sail because such yachts are available. I really meant only that the manufacturing process is at opposite ends of the scale, there would be almost nothing in common between the way you build a boat and the way that Bavaria do. You certainly set the gold standard, I wonder if even Oyster are built with the same attention to detail.

Stop making me red on my face now ;-) Yes, this are for sure totally different ways of getting to where one want to get and the result is more different than alike. Just wanted to express that I like the concept of different positioning in the marked. It makes it not only very interesting but also shows off how many ways of sailing and boating there are. It´s just lovely to be involved with it!
