Was wondering about how this Yardistry patio cover does with snow, thanks for the informative video!

My pleasure. While I hate snow, I am glad I was able to provide some conclusive evidence. Thanks for watching

Thanks for this video! I live in Canada and I was definitely concerned about the snow. We get about the same amount so I’m glad to see it stands up. Now I just need to buy an extendable paint roller lol

So talking to the CEO of the company on this video, he told me he wished I didn’t remove the snow. He said they have tested that roof to like 10k lbs. I told him next snowfall I will leave it go and challenge accepted. I have his number if it comes down. Hahaha. Super cool guy. He said they overbuilt and over tested these things and are super particular about what they put out. I feel a lot better about my purchase after talking to him.

Also live in PA & finally thinking of getting a gazebo on my patio. Snow & heavy wind are my main concern when finding the right one esp since gazebos can be pricey.
@PMPerformance3 жыл бұрын
These were all my concerns as well. This one has been through some crazy storms and has not budged one bit!

Thanks for the video. I wonder if you could install gutters and downspouts?
@PMPerformance2 жыл бұрын
My pleasure and thanks for watching. Actually you can. The CEO is going to be sending me the gutter system to try out. Thanks for the reminder to check back with them.

Bought this and it arrives soon. We live in a snowy area that has high winds in spring and summer. Do you think installing the privacy screen Costco sells for this on 2-3 of the sides of it will prevent the patio furniture from blowing everywhere?
@PMPerformance2 жыл бұрын
Good question. If you are referring to the one with the slats, I doubt it. I have daily heavy furniture, so I haven’t had this issue. I’d be curious to hear your results though. I have an updated video coming of their new gutter system getting installed

Pete my version doesn't have the cross bracing. Must be a regional design thing. The only thing we are knee deep in down here is tacos and margarita's.
@PMPerformance3 жыл бұрын
Really, yours doesn’t? It’s the same one from Yardistry? I would think even snow aside, this helps keep the lid on when super windy too and heavy rain. I been trying to talk my wife into looking at moving to Tx maybe. Likely a pipe dream, but I’m tired of Berks. Sounds like from the taco comment it may not be different down there. Lol

Hi. Any issues with the LED light bulbs outside during the winter cold? I have a Yardistry gazebo i bought from costco and i also bought the LED lights. I live in MN. Thanks
@PMPerformance8 ай бұрын
These are not Yardistry lights, but no not a single issue with them. They have been out there probably atleast 4 yrs now.

You could start a small fire in a firepit in the center... snow will fall.
@PMPerformance7 ай бұрын
That is a great idea, however Yardistry told me the weight limit is like 2 tons or something crazy like that. I would love to challenge that theory, so we shall see this winter.

Mine only has two cross beams for bracing u have five 🤔 I'm nj maybe that's y Just got it a few months ago
@PMPerformance Жыл бұрын
Location doesn’t have anything to do with it. You sure you didn’t misplace the other beams? I would contact Yardistry support if you were missing them.

use a roof extension blade.....a pole that extended to 24 ft with a blade attached....no ladder needed....its a 5 min. job for a gazebo..

Can you link to what you are referring to by chance? I deff winged what I did for sure with random junk I had sitting around , that is clear. Hahaha.

Any issue with your fan being in the winter elements?
@PMPerformance2 жыл бұрын
No, not at all surprisingly. It’s technically not in the elements at all other than the cold and hot.
@kenguzman72812 жыл бұрын
Where did you get the fan? Does it mount all the way to top where roof halves meet? We just put our pavilion up yesterday. Thanks for the video!
@PMPerformance2 жыл бұрын
@@kenguzman7281 it was from lowes. Yes I mounted it where you said. They have other styles now though.

I contacted Yardistry customer service and they refused to provide any structural information on roof loading or wind loading. My local building department rejected my building permit application because this information was missing. Don't know how you reached the CEO - did he actually provide any back up to his claim about the snow loading "10K LBS"???
@PMPerformance2 жыл бұрын
You need a permit for a non permanent structure? Do you live in Nazifornia by chance? I just put mine up and was done with it. He did not provide proof other than next time we have that kind of snow to not take it off and trust he hast tested it.
@25kmgb2 жыл бұрын
@PMPerformance the instructions clearly state it is to be fastened to wood deck, concrete footings or concrete slab. That makes it a permanent structure and falls under the building code. Thus a building permit is required by most local building departments. Usually there is an exemption for smaller structures, e.g. 120 Sq ft of roof area. When you have a neighbor that is a building inspector you don't get away with much.
@PMPerformance2 жыл бұрын
@@25kmgb that sucks man. Deff wanna stay on his good side. Mins isn’t even fastened. I have had some pretty wild storms and it hasn’t moved.
