In this video, the Samurai shows you how this dryer was still running with a disconnected neutral wire in the terminal block.

This is a bit confusing to me. What is the white wire that is already connected to the neutral terminal go to? On some older set ups, like in my parents house, some dryers from the factory come with the ground screw on the chassis of the machine bonded to the neutral with a white wire going to the neutral terminal, because of the older wiring not having a ground; only two hots and a neutral. If there was a three wire with a ground, then you are supposed to remove the jumper and place it on the neutral, while of course still connecting the neutral wire from the circuit onto the neutral terminal also. In this picture, I just don’t understand whoever did this what their thinking was what so ever. Why leave off the neutral from the wiring and then bond ground and neutral with what looks like very small wire? Is that bond even 14 gauge? Which is still way too small for what size wire should be used on a dryer. Could be part of the reason why it’s burning up. Maybe whoever did it thought because it’s 120/240v dryer that it didn’t need a neutral? I have no idea what they were thinking.

Very interesting. Isn't this somewhat akin to why you don't bond neutral and ground at a sub panel ? Because there is a chance the ground can become a load carrying wire? Great channel. Liked and subscribed.

Last week i went to a call for a washer that overfilled, during the process when i was checking for leaks i got shocked touching a chassis bolt of the dryer and washer at the same time, my meter read 120v from dryer to washer 😬 checked the wall receptacle (4 prong) for the dryer and read 240 from L2 to ground and 120 from neutral to ground 😬 still don't know how that dryer even ran for so long and only bumped the resident enough times for her to think she was crazy. Had to come back after an electrician took care of the issue...i still checked for voltage from dryer to washer 😂
He bought this so I can drive too🥹😭 #tiktok #elsarca
