I am upgrading some equipment during this off-season and one of the items is this Fanttik T8 APEX Jump Battery. In this video, I test to see how well it does when used to charge the Fanttik X8 APEX Pump and a cell phone.

I recently picked up the Fanttik air pump you reviewed as I wanted to upgrade from what I had. Used it on my truck and car and it was quick and easy to use. It will be on the bike for our upcoming trips! Thanks for the info and review!

You didn't make mention how long it takes to charge the battery pack back to 100%???

Sorry...as I recall it was about 2.5 to 3 hours.

I've used both the USB and the smaller input to the wall plug it came with but it's not charging. How does it charge back up?

@@DJSilverSoundon1 Did you push the power button after plugging it in to the USB C port? The charge indicator should light up.

Hello Craig, Do you know of any cordless options to "trickle charge" through the SAE tender cable?

I use a Noco GB40 1000Amp jump pack. Noco has thier GBC007 X-connect cable that attaches to battery for easy access jumping. The battery is also relatively small and easy to pack and $99 on sale. This has worked well. That said, you don't get the fast usb-c, numerical charge indicator or larger battery of the Fantik.

I assume you want something to maintain your battery over the winter but don't have access to an outlet, like in a shed? I don't know of anything that does not require it to be plugged in. I have seen some that say they are wireless, but that refers to the ability to monitor them via smart phone. I found this on Amazon (Schumacher SC1344 Schulink Wireless Fully Automatic Battery Charger) but it looks like it still has to be plugged in. The only way I can think to maintain a battery without access to electricity is to get a portable power station such as the one Fanttik sells. The Fanttik EVO 300 Portable Power Station would allow you to plug in a tender to run off the power station. I am not sure how long the power station would last and it would have to be recharged itself every so often. Fanttik does make a solar array to charge the power stations (FANTTIK 100W Portable Solar Panel), but I have no experience with this kind of setup. Maybe someone else will have some other ideas.

@@LivingOffTheSlab there is a simple solution. A large deep cell battery with a SAE cable hooked to the motorcycle. I did similar when I only had a shed a long time ago.

I am not an expert, but doesn't the starting battery end up getting over charged? With a tender in place it would be maintained at the optimum level. Also, it my understanding that the deep cell battery should not be discharged to less than 80% before being recharged. Wouldn't this shorten the life of both batteries?

@@LivingOffTheSlab It's not optimum, but it worked for me. Assuming both batteries are fully charged before storage, the total capacity would (or at least did for me) maintain a good voltage level over the course of a winter. Voltage levels will balance out and current from deep cell will trickle based on the motorcycle parasitic draw. It doesnt matter what the current capacity is if the voltage is the same. Think water volume (current) and water pressure (voltage). You will have zero water flow if pressure is same between source and destination.

Buyer Beware! Piece of junk. No customer support, Fanttik customer service (or lack of) will NOT be there for you to fix, repair or exchange a new defective unit. Wish I knew before purchasing.
