My pup is 10 weeks old. He's house trained, can sit, down, paw and wait about 3 seconds before breaking! On watching your video, its apparent that you are taking your time, letting her take her time and you both are enjoying the session. No pressure on having to prove to the world (camera) to get it right in a hurry! People ought to know that this is what true training is. It's not a mastery over dogs, but it's a team work for both human and dog to set up for success in the real world...

Your proofing videos are exceptionally helpful. I appreciate the point about owners thinking their dogs are proofed and well-behaved and then realizing they are not in real-world scenarios. I have a 16-month old doodle and am going back to basics and working on proofing his stays in parks and with distractions. I started doing rally with him but a balanced trainer pointed out to me that his obedience is not where it should be. My doodle likes rally because it is motivational and fun for him and he seems obedient. Just want to say your guidance is just beyond helpful. Thank you, Larry.

this is genuinely so helpful!I've been struggling with proofing my shepherd like this around toys, his toy drive is high like this girls, maybe even more, looks like I need to step back to the basics!

What i love about your explanation is that you treat her (Rudy) as an individual with a certain personality (playful, high drive) and how your main goal is to send her information through her leash and collar to communicate what you want of her. I feel so comfortable with the fact that you respect, understand her personality first and take it from there... She is not your 'target' to practice your methods and see if it works or not..

I love that you’re showing the beginning stages a lot of trainers do not You don’t have to stay over here every time since you put the dog in a down that means stay in that means over there but maybe you do always say over here when they break I just leave my dog right back to where I put it and don’t say over here or stay again, but that’s just me

I know you can’t read all the comments….I left one you answered about buying two siblings dogs… I took your advice I called the breeder and explained myself not wanting to proceed with two siblings however I still would like to have two bouvier’s I’ll get my basic training down with the one I picked. Once she’s ready I’d like to buy another wile she’s still a puppy. I’ve watched the video with the bouvier puppy and was wondering if you can give a recommendation to a bouvier breeder perhaps even if it’s the breeder that particular puppy came from?

Hey, I am following this whole FF debate and have a question. The same exercise could be done FF by doing small to tiny iterations of little movement, right? So, why do you teach it that way? With conditioning the "No". I think it is because you can't like generalize the impulse control, but I would really like to get your take on it.
