I can understand the frustration that many of the parents are feeling. The parts that describe what happens to a vagina and penis during sex was fairly graphic and probably not appropriate for a very young child to read, especially without a trusted adult present to talk with them about what they are reading; however, what people should be highlighting is the fact that this book is going to help kids understand the nuances of sex and educate them on what is okay and not okay, which could very well play a key factor in saving many children from SA and a lifetime of trauma, pain, and shame. As well as help them prevent STIs STDs and so on.
