Thank fuck Mauricio wasn't offered the spot, not bashing him but his voice would not be suitable. Tucker was the next step in evolving the sound in the same direction, more evil and more intense.

Mauricio was in his rap phase by that point, and had quit bass as far as I remember, Kataklysms first 2 are the only real kataklysm albums.

@rottenroth I didn't say he was offered the spot. Steve was the only person actually called in to do an audition. Needless to say, he passed. But at the time, several people were considered.

​@@drunkthrone_ he didnt say the exact details but he did mention the MA guys referring to the Deicide name as Penis-cide. He kept dogging on Dave Vincent. Trash talking aside it was a great show, DEICIDE/ CANCER/ DEMOLITION HAMMER. My only complaint was that Deicide didnt play, In Hell I Burn. Otherwise they would have played the whole Legion album.
