Ever since its inception in 1992, the Mario Kart series has continued to evolve its core mechanics and track design philosophy. From Super Mario Kart, to Mario Kart Wii, to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, each instalment has its own identity, introducing novel ideas such as having two racers per car, pulling off stunts, gliding through the air and most recently, the ability to defy gravity itself. Evidently, a lot has changed in the franchise’s 30-year history, so let’s take a deep dive into evolution of Mario Kart through the ages!

DS, in all ways but controls (which is a massive deal breaker), is my favourite however, 8 is super solid at everything and has a ludicrous amount of tracks, so that's my #1. Great discussion lads and plenty of trivia!

The fact that Mario Kart 8 has 96 tracks is insane, makes you wonder how they plan to top that for the next game!
