I visited Bali ( Indonesia ). I am Hindu ( Indian ). I have seen that Balis' Hindu people are very friendly & co-operative. I & my family visited number of Hindu temples in Bali. We stayed at Cadadisa. I am proud for their acute devotion to Hindu God. If possible then I shall visit again.

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT BEING A HINDU (sanatana dharma)? 1) Believe in God ! - Aastik - Accepted 2) Don't believe in God ! - You're accepted as Nastik 3) You want to worship idols - please go ahead. You are a murti pujak. 4) You dont want to worship idols - no problem. You can focus on Nirguna Brahman-shapeless, formless ,infinite, without beginning or end(nirvikalpa brahama) 5) You want to criticise something in our religion. Come forward. We are logical. Nyaya, Tarka etc. are core Hindu schools. 6) You want to accept beliefs as it is. Most welcome. Please go ahead with it. 7) You want to start your journey by reading Bhagvad Gita - Sure ! 8) You want to start your journey by reading Upanishads - Go ahead. 9) You want to start your journey by reading Purana - Be my guest. 10) You just don't like reading Puranas or other books. No problem my dear. Go by Bhakti tradition . ( bhakti- devotion) 11) You don't like idea of Bhakti ! No problem. Do your Karma. Be a karmayogi. 12) You want to enjoy life. Very good. No problem at all. This is Charvaka Philosophy. 13) You want to abstain from all the enjoyment of life & find God - jai ho ! Be a Sadhu, an ascetic ! 14) You don't like the concept of God. You believe in Nature only - Welcome. (Trees are our friends and Prakriti or nature is worthy of worship). 15) You believe in one God or Supreme Energy. Superb! Follow Advaita philosophy 16) You want a Guru. Go ahead. Receive gyaan.(gyan yoga) 17) You don't want a Guru.. Help yourself ! Meditate, Study !(still gyana or raj yoga) 18) You believe in Female energy ! Shakti is worshipped. 19) You believe that every human being is equal. Yeah! You're awesome, come on let's celebrate Hinduism! "Vasudhaiva kutumbakam" (the world is a family) 20) You don't have time to celebrate the festival. Don't worry. One more festival is coming! There are multiple festivals every single day of the year. 21) You are a working person. Don't have time for religion. Its okay. You will still be a Hindu. 22) You like to go to temples. Devotion is loved. 23) You don't like to go to temples - no problem. You are still a Hindu! 24) You know that Hinduism is a way of life, with considerable freedom. 25) You believe that everything has God in it. So you worship your mother, father, guru, tree, River, Prani-matra, Earth, Universe! 26) And If you don't believe that everything has GOD in it - No problems. Respect your viewpoint. 27) "Sarve jana sukhino bhavantu " (May you all live happily) You represent this! You're free to choose, my dear Hindu! This is exactly the essence of Hinduism, all inclusive .. That is why it has withstood the test of time inspite of repeated onslaught both from within and outside, and assimilated every good aspects from everything . That is why it is eternal !!! There is a saying in Rigveda , the first book ever known to mankind which depicts the Hinduism philosophy in a Nutshell -" Ano bhadrah Krathavo Yanthu Vishwathah"- Let the knowledge come to us from every direction " JAI HIND

Razin Othman pls worry about yourself . My country half of the population doesn’t follow any religion and they are still leading good life than Muslim in Australia who live a life of lie . Live on tax payer money, marry multiple time, have dozens of kids , doesn’t respect law of country and still consider them self good muslims. Everything is haraam about their lives except halal food . What a joke. So you have to be a good human being first not belong to certain religion. Religion is way of good living, made by humans not a path to heaven.

Razin Othman I have never said anything against the Islam but against the people who use and abuse religion for their own selfish end and still consider them good humans. U family might be exceptional and doing good but not all the low life people who hide behind religion and do wrong deed and still consider they will go to heaven. Any way I don’t believe any religion is bad but we human had made it bad. Also I only pointed out this fact as someone said only Muslim will go to heaven and others are on wrong path. It was just an example of people hiding behind religion . It could be any other religion too. No disrespect for Islam. Respected sister, i became a hindu myself .. i would just like to say that , some people will tell you a lot about ills of hinduism ,, but as my guru said " you are free to protect yourself and go to any extent when you are attacked, but otherwise never cause harm to anyone, other then that you are free to do whatever you can imagine".. that is the only principal of hinduism.. welcome to the oldest religion on earth

Every religion is a way of life. I dont know why people say this. Hinduism is also a civilization, that includes worship and spiritual philosophy as one of the branches. There is vaastu, ayurveda, engineering, astrology, grammar and other branches. Horoscopes are just cooked up lies, but people who designed it did study planetary movements and created proper calendars.

Ambaa Choate Hinduism is not about travelling to its Root places. You can be better Hindu than 90% if you do Understand its core basics like Awakening your conscious, cleaning bad karmas of previous or current birth by good deeds. Do everything which help to clean your soul and make soul to higher level. coming in India or nepal doesn't make a difference. most of Indians and Nepali don't even understand the spiritual science lie in depth of Hinduism. being a Hindu doesn't make difference if we don't Follow it's spiritual science for our own good. and my Nepali brother don't invite people if you don't deserve, even if you deserve why waste time and money in Travel so long? spend it in being devoted to Almighty.

Dear Sister, It is great to know you have understood the Theory behind Hinduism. I see you have converted , which is not necessary by continuing in your earlier faith you can still be a Hindu. I am a Hindu but Pray to the Christ with all my Heart and also to Allah, same energy different interpretations. Only by accepting that everything is true yet an illusion I can break the barriers of life rebirth and realize God. Gurunanak Preached the same universal truth centuries ago. the important thing of hinduism which make superior then other religion is that u r free to do everything which u r really wanted to do.. there is no chain of rule of code of conduct which u have to fallow.. hinduism give a joyful energy to body and soul.. It’s a journey of finding oneself and the truth.., if you are on the path...then you are on the path...that’s the long and short. As a Hindu I hate the idea of conversion .. what will happen is that you will discover people and wisdom that already exits and you will realise ‘ok so these people are like me and already have taken that journey and let me learn from them’..and that’s all it takes...

well i dont call myself "the typical hindu" i am an atheist and a little bit into laveyan satanism but i know that vedic culture has space for atheism....vedas dont have the concept of apostasy like abrahamics... and i am relieved to know that and the fact the rakshasa aspect is also admired and respected is what i find much more amusing hehe.....but yeah vedic philosophy is everywhere

Yes! I love that Hinduism can cover such a wide breadth of experiences. I have enormous respect for atheists. I think you are probably further along on the path than I, as I still rely on some outside things to help me connect to my Self.

I request you to keep your original name. Hinduism doesn't believe in proselytizing but they ask to embrace in a set of beliefs. If you keep your Biblical name and follow Hinduism it will attract a lot of White population in Europe to embrace Hinduism. The way Julia Roberts did. She is a Hindu yet she didn't change her name...

That is an interesting perspective on it. I have agonized a lot about whether to go by Ambaa or Carolyn. In real life I definitely still use Carolyn and on the Internet I use Ambaa more.

Ambaa Choate That's a great thing, because Hinduism doesn't believe in proselytysing, you simply embrace Hinduism. You can keep that original name of yours and can still be a Hindu..

I too recommend it. You are the only one to choose what you should be called. Having Carolyn and Amba side by side is not any disadvantage either. best of both worlds. Lot of Indians have two names. One official, one at home.

Very nice , you embraced Hinduism. Hinduism is best religion in the world. Now you will taste real fruit of Hindu scripture. Hinduism is a most scientific religion in the world. .So go deep in Bhahwat Geeta. Other are telling about own religion but Srimad Bhagwat Geeta tells about universal truth and get supreme Nirvana or Mokksha

Ambaaji, It was a pleasure and blessing to hear your video. Since your the devotee of our family Guruji for the last 70 years , the connection became very personal. Advaita philosophy is exacting and it is actually an instinctive ( eventual) insight you coalesce into after a long , vigilant and rigorous examination of the "reality" . In fact I would say that it is way beyond the mystical realm. It is a courageous journey that you have undertaken and may you be blessed all along the way. You would have noticed that 8 out of 10 comments (that you have received ) would have been the admission that they missed your words and were mesmerized by your lovable baby. In India , perhaps due to the community based living that we practice ( nuclear families are just recent occurrence) all of us simply get glued to baby watching. We simply love them unabashedly. I too was absolutely mesmerised by the little one's utter innocence . The great mystic J.Krishnamurty had said " utter vulnerability is utter beauty". MAY GOD BLESS BOTH OF YOU and MAY the baby give you unending delight in all that he does , throughout your lives.. I will try and see other videos by you. Trust the blog is maned after you..
