How I Became More Confident & Self Assured | Advice For Improving Self Esteem & Confidence...
I'm sharing from where I derive my confidence and self esteem and why it is so important to improve low self esteem. I've come a long way from where I have been in past years; my self confidence has markedly improved with consistent practice of restructuring my inner dialogue and performing the positive actions that coincide with this reformed attitude. Positive energy within will drive you to make better choices for yourself. If you're seeking positive change in your life, you must know that change for yourself IS possible. You must first believe in yourself and know your worth -- without this piece, the puzzle can't be completed. I believe in you.
Skincare I use on my face + body:
Facial Cleanser (AM & PM): amzn.to/3cGVlxF
Moisturizer (AM & PM): amzn.to/336ylUo

I learned a long time ago that self esteem is a decision. We decide to feel good about ourselves, regardless of our achievement or failures And I think that is really a good way to look at it. Often we achieve so many good things and still don’t feel confident or worthy When really, like you said, we are all deserving of feeling confident and worthwhile I love how you describe your process and your decision to feel worthy 💕

It's funny, I came to your youtube channel because of a video about tretinoin, which I use as well but I ended up finding so many things I relate to, I also have confidence issues, suffer from social anxiety (and depression that I attribute to that), and I'm also into yoga and meditation for years trying to cope with these things after having failed with psychopharmacology. It's an eternal struggle and I admit sometimes I feel like giving up, when so many things that for other people seem easy for me is a hercuelan task that involves so much anxiety, but seeing you and your history of fighting somehow gives me more hope. Thanks for that.

SAME HERE! I also found her channel from one of her videos on tetinoin (15 year skin care routine video), and I pretty much have all of the same issues and interests as you, and I was pleasantly surprised that Jennifer has so many of the same interests as me and videos that pertain to me as well! I have struggled with confidence issues, mental health issues, I am also interested in mindfulness, meditation, IF, keto/animal-based diets for health (FYI quick tip - I have had great success with the ketogenic diet for mental health), skincare, and anti-aging. I feel like she is my spirit animal! I found this video so helpful because it really pertains to a lot of the "inner issues" I experience.

I do close my eyes and picture myself that I can do anything I want and the power of the mind is so strong if you believe in yourself . I’ll do it all the time before I start painting and it work also when I compete in tennis specially when I play the young group and I still beat them and it takes a mental and physical effort to do it but still end up winning. And I love that is all in believing that u can do it . I use visualization techniques to reach my goals .

The healthier I treat my body through food and physical activity like a walk to calm my nerves every day feels like a gift to myself that I’m worth taking care of and it gives me a feeling of lightness and clarity and thus gives me a great sense of confidence! Something I’ve been doing for the last week or so. The nice you treat your body the more worthy and confident you feel in your heart and mind no doubt

I have, in the past, turned to external (material) things to stimulate a sense of confidence...such as a new outfit or something likewise. And those things do help to boost confidence, but I've found that the effect is temporary; it's fast fleeting. True confidence is something cultivated through establishing a strong sense of self (self assurance) and having emotional security.
@EclecticDiaries

As someone else said in the comments, self esteem is a choice and I think it’s important to remember that. Being righteous, respectful, loving, these are all choices we make everyday with the thoughts we attach to ourselves, the thoughts we attach to others and the actions we carry out. It’s a constant and present act that in time, moulds us as consistent behaviour and thought patterns become mental programs and events in life that carry the same energy begin to manifest. Don’t ever stop choosing to be a good person with self confidence and a giving heart. Your soul is counting on you and only you ❤️

I love this! For me, especially when I feel very far away from a goal or where I want to be, I think about how far I have come and how my younger me would be ecstatic to be where I am now. That allows me to realize not just my accomplishments but also see that I have grown in my abilities. Another way is to try and rely less on others for validation. Ideally, my validation will come from within or from healthy sources (mentors, those I look up to, etc) that help me grow because sometimes criticism is necessary.. and I hope to care less about things I have little control over (my height, my skin color, physical characteristics I was born with) and more about things that I can change (my discipline, ability to learn, social skills)

Even that I love him with all my heart and I do almost all the time everything that is possible for me in that moment to help him, i steel feel unworthy. Because of this, I struggle with the fear of loosing him and other things in my life. I was such a confident and happy person until 8 years ago anxiety kicked from nowhere. And from that time until now I accumulate so much painful thoughts, that I can't handel anymore. And I don't know if I will be able to clean them. But thanks for the video. Hi I know this is out of topic but I just bought a Retin-A 0.05% (the white and light blue packaging) but I did not notice that it said it was from Thailand. Yesterday night I've tried it for the first time. I am not sure how it's supposed to smell but it did smell sour. Also, when I lathered it on my face-- I didnt get irritation or dryness. So I'm worried because I am thinking I might have gotten a fake one. Or am I just not sensitive to it? Before adding tretenoin in my routine, this was my daily ones: Oil based make up remover Mild facial cleanser Kojic acid soap Toner Moisturizer Yesterday I did: Oil based make up remover Mild facial cleanser Toner (Waited 25 mins) Retin-A Do you think it is because my skin has already been accumulated with the kojic acid soap that Retin A didn't iritate me?

How does one measure or know their worth?
@JenniferMyers
@JenniferMyers 3 жыл бұрын
Knowing your value is an emotional subject, I'm finding...it is easy to identify when you DON'T feel valued, respected, or appreciated, right? But knowing your own worth is somewhat different...I suspect that's what you're asking me. In my view, knowing your value and self-worth are inextricably linked. Self-worth is the sense of one’s own value or worth as a person. I think that is one part of it, but the other aspect is being able to understand how much of a difference you have made in any given situation, or with another human being or living creature, with the contribution you have made. Ultimately, it comes down to being secure and comfortable with who you are, having clear personal values and living in alignment with those, and recognizing that your existence makes a difference. I hope that helps.

Jen, i know how Hard it ist To stop smoking, i failed so many times. I know I sure will get bashed upon this advice by many, but I finally did it. I got myself an electric cigarette. And I first bought the pods with 5% nicotine, as 3% wasn’t enough at the beginning. After three month I changed to 3%, after another to zero. The device still works, and in situations I get stressed out, I take it out again, but finally end up finding it disgusting 😊 I live alone, no one around me to tempt me, so this was a good start, as I never smoked at home or in my car. And cigarette smoke is so bad for your child around you, focus also on that. Concerning your self esteem: you can be so proud and I imagine it is so very hard to come off of any addiction, and look where you are now. You can be proud of yourself and now going to school and learning more is impressive. You can do it.
