A lot of people ask me how to become a technical player, well the first step is to have the right tools. In this video I will give you a taste of what it is like to embrace the full power of the minecraft engineering toolset. And hopefully you can learn to master these tools and apply them to your own builds.

I'd suggest checking out the Prism Launcher fork of MultiMC, it has a built-in mod downloader and updater which supports both CurseForge and Modrinth (that is, as long as the mod author hasn't disallowed "third-party downloads" on their Curse projects) It's directly compatible with MultiMC-format instances, and MMC settings can also be moved over iirc with a simple config file rename

I think trying things out in creative is really the most OP tool for technical minecraft. If you're taking on huge, complex projects, I don't think there's any alternative to schematic mods except maybe "save-scumming" with backups, but using some mods can push things in the same direction as duplication glitches: awesome in specific cases that can cut out uninteresting tedium, but which in other cases may merely cheapen your experience of the game. I don't go as far as Dugged or Etho (in his SSP) - but there's also something interesting to me about working through a project where I have some clue what I'm doing instead of just printing someone else's design in from creative.

Pillager in the mine cart) Yes I used the carpet mod thingy that shows all the numbers above villagers’ head. This farm sucked an I couldn’t make it work well.
