Unfortunately my DJI Mini 3 Pro crashed. It is not the first time that this happens but it is the first time it fell into water.
What were my mistakes? What did I wrong? And how could you avoid doing the same faults? Learn from my issue to fly better and avoid such bad incidents.
I explain and show you in detail what happened and I show you the unseen footage of the crash.

When I got my first drone, someone told me, 'If you don't experience a crash at least once, you're not pushing its limits correctly.' Sometimes, testing your boundaries is what propels you towards greater achievements.

Great video but too bad about your Mini 3 Pro. Hopefully you’ll be back to flying it soon! I had a water crash with my Mini 2 recently. It was totally my fault. The drone was completely submerged for almost 15 minutes until I could retrieve it. I was able to dry it out completely and now it works just fine, even the sd card works fine. I was completely amazed that it still worked. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience!

Lucky you! 😊 I tried it several times but the Mini 3 Pro wasn't working afterwards. I was expecting that all the water crashs lead to a demolition of the drone. Seems to be there is also positive destiny.

Doing odd flying preparations are very important. So far, so good. Improvising, danger is always close.

You are fully right. When flying like I usually do, there is always a risk to crash it. And it happened to me several times but until last week I never had water damage. 😉

Sorry to hear you crashed your Mini 3, I would always look at my surroundings before I fly. Fly safe!

Danke dir. Der DJI-Service ist sehr gut. Bin also zuversichtlich, dass die Drohne in ein paar Tagen wieder in der Luft ist. 😀

Nice to meet you. Bro. It is said that flying will fall at any time. Most people who rely on sensors experience their first fall. Any drone would be a great help if you did most of the exercises in Etimode. Good luck always.

Thanks mate. You're fully right. The sensors are not perfect but in my case I'm sure they would have seen the tree on the backside and would have avoid the crash. 😉

Mesmo usando com os sensores ativados, não podemos confiar 100% nos sensores do M3P. Eu faço vôos 🪶 sempre atento 🫡. Dessa forma faço os meus vídeos com segurança.

What was the reason you disabled obstacle sensors?

I normally don't fly with the obstacle avoidance because I used to fly close calls and gaps.

Did you have care refresh or is this their paid repair service?

Nope I never buy the care refresh for my mini drones. I will receive a bill for the repair.

@DOATRIP-drone Good to know. Just got a mini 3 and I was considering care refresh, but the cost + first replacement fee is like 30% of the drone cost. It's a bit high for insurance for my liking.

@@M1CAustin true. And let me tell you that the repair costs are pretty low. DJI has a very good service. In the most cases when your drone is damaged they'll send you a new one instead of repairing your old drone. The UAV itself is not more than 100USD or 100€. For the Mavic-Drones I think its useful to have the care. :)

Ok I do not get it, if flying drones over water, why not fit some flotation on it so it does not sink, just enough flotation to make it not sink. Obvious!!!

Good point. There are two good reasons: 1. The flotation increases the weight above 250grams 2. The flotation is affecting the flight physics Additionally in my case it wouldn't have halted as it was a river with streams. 😉
