Great video, well crafted. True art, fueled by passion. The whitetail is an animal that has held my awe since I was a little boy. Watching this video takes me back to those feelings, and emotions. This painting fantastically captures your passion, very inspiring to the soul.

Thank you for posting this Video. Although I live in California now, I grew up in eastern Montana and love to draw also. I really enjoyed watching this first video and seeing some your inspiration for the white tail deer drawings/paintings. I have to say you are an amazingly talented artist who's been immersed in his wildlife work for quite some time. Congratulations on your Canadian coin selection! This was such a beautiful video! Congratulations on being chosen to place your artwork on the coins. Your painting is beautiful. I have been commissioned to paint a buck for someone’s relative who’s an avid hunter and also a taxidermist. I’m a little nervous.

Thanks so much I really appreciate that! If you can use the mount as a model that really helps to get everything in proportion and to figure out the lighting. That’s what helps me anyway. 😊

There isn’t a mount just the pic of the killed deer. I’m just doing head and shoulders. I used an app to turn the head and I’ve opened his eyes in my sketch because they were pretty much closed. Not a great reference photo. But I’ve been researching eyes and faces. Thank you 😊
