I admire your balls :) it looks fun but dangerous those spins lol, I mean you know what you're doing but isn't it like that it takes only 1 mistake? Or are you doing these like higher up in the air so if it went wrong you got more time to fix your wing or like pull your reserve parachute? Just wondering.

I never forgot it, and the day my youngest finished school, I signed up! I actually went to visit Eric a few months ago at his new Paratour school near Jasper, FL. He is amazing!!...and also my age.🤣 Safe flying! Bill

Yes it is a disease. As soon as I get up in the morning and walk towards the door at the wife asked me you going flying this morning. If the weather is correct most of the time the answer is yes. Retired or retarded I really haven't figured out which one yet. But every time the weather is perfect I'm up in the air.

It looks fun, but scary.. Alltho might be cuz I got some fear of heights, my hands get sweaty just watching videos like that lol.. I live in a too crowded area but I know not so far from here where I got family living they can fly there & there's a paramotor school not so far off. Perhaps I'd join on a trike sometime, if the pilot is ok now to fly high lol.

I was in the same boat a few years ago before I finally jumped into the hobby. It can be a challenge at first but if you have a good set of friends that you fly with and learn from each other and get to the point where you are proficient then it’s a absolute blast, nothing compares.

@@bekeneel I think the part of my brain that is afraid of heights is broken. I have the exact opposite when I get up to very high places. I feel the urge to jump. I've always dreamed about flying my entire life but I've always had other obligations. Responsibilities come before dreams.😮‍💨🤷‍♂️
@SmittySmithsonite
@SmittySmithsonite Жыл бұрын
@@bekeneel I'm afraid of heights too, but the reason I don't panic is because I know I just can't fall off a paramotor at 3k feet. Standing on a ladder at 20' is much more terrifying to me, because it's most definitely more dangerous. Same with peering over the edge of a high roof, or ledge. The most dangerous time on a paramotor is close to the ground. It's the ground that can hurt you, ironically enough! I developed a bad habit of not paying close enough attention to my wing while taking off, months after I left training. I had got away with it for a long time, because my beginner wing is so stable, but one day when winds were different, I rolled my trike twice in a row. The 2nd time broke my right hand. Once I healed, I figured out what I was doing wrong, I focused on JUST that, worked at it, and eventually fixed the issue. Haven't had a rollover, and have had many successful flights since!

I can understand the need for something "new" after years and years of flying. I''m coming up on year 3 and I love pushing myself and trying new locations, new wings and new challenges. That's what keeps me going. I can understand after 9 years... you need some kind of "kick" to get you excited again. Next time I'm in FL, I'm testing out that Freeride 2!

What a great video! Reminds me of the simple and addictive videos of just fun flights and simple conversation around the NJ neighborhood. It’s like being invited into a neighborhood club and just hanging out each week. The Van life series were like the club was doing a road trip. Just familiar and cool. BTW you have a “birds eye view” also and then you swoop down that one field and you get smacked in the forehead by a grasshopper. Priceless stuff!!!

This was a bit of a surprise. Tucker Gott and Paramotoring have always been synonymous in my mind. The idea that you could set it aside for an entire month...! Wow. But I get it. You can become burnt out on almost anything after a time - even things that you love. A little time away and the introduction of a new & exciting element can often be the perfect remedy to that frame of mind. So glad to see your enthusiasm recharged and looking forward to more great content!

I think it's normal to go through a break, even with things you love. I ride my motorcycle pretty much every single day. Rain or shine baby, it's definitely for me! But today is my first ride in 2 weeks. Just haven't felt it and it's not the first time. I think we just need to bore ourselves a little with regular life as a reminder of how f🦆ing awesome our thing is (whatever that thing happens to be).
