Yes, this does work better if you are a local here and aren't here for just a day to establish yourself. This is just telling you my story, my perseverance, and sharing you a cool story not the best way to do it or the only way. I know people who have done it just visiting here and locals who wanted to do this but don't take action or go through the effort or aren't able to establish relationships.
