If your lips are cracking and the thin layer is scarred or bruised, DO NOT use a lip scrub or else your lips and the skin around it will burn. Instead use vaseline and do not exfoliate, just soothe!

something that work for me is adding a thick layer of the normal vaseline on your lips and it's not pleasant to eat all that vaseline, and so I quit that habit
