After we had lived in our house for ten years, I told my husband and son that I had bought at least 20 pairs of scissors in that time but could not find a single one. I designated three places to keep three new pairs. I warned them that if those pairs went missing, I would buy one more pair and hide it from them forever. It worked. I still have all three 20 years later.

When I taught fourth grade, I collected items that were left behind from our classroom’s coat room, then I’d set them out on Fridays for kids to claim. One boy never claimed his sweatshirts, so on the last day of school, he finally claimed them. He said he couldn’t carry them all, so his classmates said, “wear them”! It was about 80 degrees out, and he was wearing about five sweatshirts at dismissal!

I teach high school, and I've had so many things left behind in my classroom. I used to stick them in my own personal lost and found because our school didn't have one. The long resident last year was a jean jacket. The owner was never found. This year, I've found a blanket, a stress ball, a hoodie, and a million water bottles. All went to the receptionist. More recently, someone left her purse in one of her classes, and her friend, fortunately, is the one who found it. I even had a kid leave her PHONE in my class!

The cutlery and socks especially. Some of the random places I've found my son's socks, he must do it on purpose. They can't possibly accidentally end up in such weird places. We had a missing teaspoon phase for a few years. I bought more and they're doing ok, but now we too are on forks. There were none in the drawer the other day, I checked the dishwasher and there were only 5 in there. I checked my son's room and couldn't find any there. Ahhhhh! The socks! I truly believe my kids have a plan to drive me insane with socks I find them everywhere. Under the bed, in the couch, in the hallway, the middle of the living room, and even 1 sock in my vehicle. One sock!!! How do you get out of the vehicle wearing one sock!?! I’ve said I’m going to collect them when I find them and then charge them a dollar a sock to get them back. But with my luck the wouldn’t care and find a way to get more socks to continue their plan. Hahaha! 😂

We've been keeping the cute plastic spoons from the local ice cream store for years. And the kids cups in restaurants. They last for quite a few uses and when they go missing or break, not too big a deal.

What is it with the forks? It’s the same in my house! This was great. Penn made me think of a new parody that he should do. “Where Have All Chargers Gone?” (To the tune of Paula Cole’s “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?”)😂😂

I cracked up during the “official” video, but then totally lost it in the outtakes/recovery section 🤣 3/4 of us have ADHD in our house (my husband being the only one who doesn’t). We have lost SO many things. I used to joke that I had a standing, weekly date with the elementary school lost and found bin - until COVID shut parents out of the school and then all lost items just went missing for good 😭 And the socks. Oh the socks. Did a deep five foot the room my 2 kids share over the holidays and there. Were. So. Many. Random. Socks. It was even worse than I had imagined 😳

😂😂 This is such an awesome video!! Love watching you guys! Also, side note: when y'all were looking for the phone charger and just causually mentioned, "oh, it's just in a snake-filled pit of vines"..... I officially understand why I live where the air hurts my face! Could not deal with just potentially having snakes all over the yard 😭😭😳

You guys are killing it! The video with the bagels I was actually eating a bagel while watching! This video is on point!!- we had to buy more forks because they've disappeared! My husband even resorted to getting some at the local thrift store cause he figured why bother spending a lot if there just going to disappear. We organized the charger chords but...all the good ones have disappeared! The lost socks is always a struggle. Came up with a system that is sorta working. All mismatched socks get bundled together in my drawer. Once I have 2 or 3 bundles, I pair them up. I still have several left over after but I find more matches than no matches this way. 😂

We had family stay with us during their kitchen remodel. Included 2,5,7 year olds. We were down to 5 spoons after washing everything and our family told us while trying to train the kids to clear their plates by scraping things into the garbage - they were not very careful about grabbing the silverware first.

I can't find my tablet that had been on my desk for months but I decided to put it somewhere "safe" ... oh yeah and when we moved to IL from FL I took all the picture hangers off of the wall and put them in a baggie so I'd have them handy to put the pictures up in the new house. I found them 3 years later in an ottoman that we use for the dogs to get on and off the bed.

We were using paper plates and plastic utensils for every meal except on Sundays. One week we noticed that our nice flatware was missing several pieces. It turned out that my 3 year old son ( who helped clear off the table on Sunday night ) had thrown them in the trash like he had seen everyone else do with the plastic utensils.🤗😬... let's not get started on the phone and tablet chargers.smh
