How I Invest ALL of my Money! I have wanted to make this video for quite some time now, and now that I can finally sit down and go through my portfolio, I wanted to share it with you all. In this video I breakdown my entire investment portfolio and give you an inside look into what I invest in. I personally think the transparency really matters and I’ve seen others do a similar thing and it has definitely opened my eyes to other investment opportunities and ideas. As you see in the video, I invest pretty heavily in real estate, followed by stocks, crypto, and you’ll have to watch the video for the rest!

Nice content! Few years back i was assistant to a wealthy pen artist and within the short period i worked with him i observed that he had quite a chunk of investment everywhere, stocks, crypto, dividend investing to name a few, so he had revenues coming in from all angles. And in a year his worth doubled. With this i learned that the rich stay rich by investing.

i agree with this but the problem now is getting to make the right investments, Lots of people tend to lose their money while investing thereby making them lose interest and also end up discouraging other individuals around them.

@@codysteck6445 I think the major challenges investors face may range from controlling impulsiveness to the frail of compulsion. Most newbies and would-be investors often undermine and most often neglect the importance of technical analysis with regards to investing. Technical analysis overly predicts the movement of asset prices regardless of what is happening in the wider or broader market. Essentially, the process involves studying the paths of a particular asset movement in the past so as to establish a sustainable pattern that can be used to predict future movements or better still get an investment advisor who'd guide you and help you manage your portfolio just like my boss back then, He was working with an IA Martin Jens Gregersen and i would bet he still does. I can boldly recommend him because i've witnessed his performance first hand. he's the real deal.

it's not late for investors to review their portfolios and pick up some investments that might do well in the this year.. looking at the performance of various stocks and the dip in the crypto space, there’s so much opening to get in a earn good profits.

First off, want to say good on you!! for creating, developing and focusing on a diverse portfolio. Wish I was more like you and on top of this earlier- esp during residency days, no med school days! but like we all know, that guidance is not there. Thanks for making this topic more approachable. I love your financial videos man. Gets me thinking about things I otherwise wouldn't probably have. I'm only in my intern year but the last year or so I've been chart stalking the crypto markets. Would love to hear your thoughts on paying off your loans vs investing - seems like you could pay off most/all of your loans by selling some of your investments but you’ve chosen not to so I’d be interested in your thought process behind that decision. Keep up the good work 👍🏼

One thing I wish I had done as a young physician is invest in some illiquid asset like real estate preferably something like good quailty farm land near an expanding metropolitan area. If you have a good farmer to rent it to who doesn't abuse it it would be the perfect investment for a young doctor precisely because it is illiquid. Because you can't just go onto a computer and sell it that fact enforces a long term hold which should pay off over a 20-30 year career. The problem with investing in the stock market is that it becomes very emotional and as physicians we are already in an emotionally charged profession. It is easy to become a gambling addict in the stock market as a way to escape from the stress of the profession. Another way to invest conservatively is to dollar cost average into something like Berkshere hathaway. The concept here is called risk adjusted return. Although BRK often doesn't match the performance of the SPY because it is conservatively managed and has a diverse portfolio of companies; it is lower risk imho. Again over 20-30 years it should be fine. One doc I know was told by his chairman in residency to just invest in BRK back in the day and has done very well indeed. When thinking about farm land consider the impact of climate change. Rick Rule (if you don't know him search on you tube) recommends looking at farmland in Michigan. Bill Gates is also buying a ton of farm land. Please don't construe this as financial advice. I am just a random old physician commenting on a you tube video.

I kinda like Social Capital and Physicians Real Estate Trust although nobody's really gonna make any money this year between the electoral college, the filibuster, voting rights, the reform movement, return to semblance of normalcy and nostalgia, id go with the nostalgia strategy for crypto.

This is not stock investment advice. It's just a story about a gambler playing his cards hoping to get lucky. It is addictive. I keep coming back for your stories. It's easier doing your homework if you already know the company, the industry, the competition, the financial and know your tolerance for risk. My portfolio has one ETF which is tied to an inflation protected treasury bond fund. TIP

Really, medicine is sort of a poor investment itself due to the risk, regulation, and people's perceptions of each other and the procedures, the science doesn't do anything but influence people's perceptions, there's always a bull market somewhere. I guess I could live with Cramer as CEO of a company if my Social Capital didn't work out, but still decades of failed policies and finger pointing followed by money grabbing and increased enforcement of cognitive-behavioral norms.

Love your vids. But firstly , i laughed at the name of this. Because doctors are well known as TERRIBLE investors. They often bring their arrogance into investing (and playing poker,btw) and invest in all the wrong things or get suckered by a "financial advisor" who is taking big cuts.

Respectfully .. i would just offer that the audience for these videos of yours is probably going to be much, much smaller - and possibly partly at odds with the audience for your more "life inside medicine" videos. A lot of us are interested in medicine but not IN medicine. I'm guessing that group of your viewers is likely to be, on average, college educated, probably even graduate school educated with a personality type that tends towards curiosity about people in other professions that require a high level of educational attainment. Here's the rub. Doctors and lawyers salaries are abnormally high (yes, but with high to debt levels, i know). But still ... Generally people don't like hearing those with very high salaries talk about money. Sorry. Just being the bearer of bad news, i guess. Even if we understand, it's a little like rubbing salt in an open wound, bro. This might be why these videos are underperforming on your channel and why you might actually be losing part of your audience. Do you care? Up to you. Obviously, you have a main job and KZfaq is a hobby. So .. yeah. You do you. Just thought I'd offer that

I’m a 45 year old hospitalist and I’m completely debt free. My wife and I decided to live below our means so we did not buy a million dollar home and do not have $100k plus cars but we live well. We take several vacations per year and our kids are in private school. We hate debt so what helped me the most is following Dave Ramsey’s baby steps. I’m increasing my retirement contributions, opened a brokerage account to park xtra savings, and recently started an LLC to start investing in real estate. Good luck to everyone.
