You're a million miles away from knowing the history behind, and how the food has changed. It's still good. One if the free places that's not downsized portions to go with price increase. You weren't conceived when the uniforms were white, and there weren't sit down tables. You've no idea what your really talking about. If your truly knew, you'd never have been loving on those store bought things the way you did. You've had a taste of them. You're not close to a conasieur. You got quite a number a fellows that would like to git wit you and let you caress them the way you were caressing that box of frozen burgers. Just sayin.....

I don’t know your grandfather but I can assure you even our grandparents were young at one point. They faced different problems but all the same struggles. They had to grow up too. They had to go through the awkwardness of puberty(some of them didn’t even get to properly learn what was even happening). It’s just an interesting thought. Maybe he was like this. If he still is like this than I’m sure he’d be a pretty nice person to be around. Thanks for giving some *food* for thought.

Used to live in that area, and yup. There are those 2 that I remember. Could have sworn there was one in Nassau somewhere. I live WAY upstate now, and I can confirm there are no White Castles in any form. They seem to really only he available in the NYC Metropolis and the surrounding suburbs.

me as well, the Vegas one on Fremont street, I felt immediately ill and felt sick the entire next day ,still feel nauseated even just to hear the name white castle or look at a "slider" on this video. it was truly disgusting.

Every fast food chain - McDonald's, Burger King, KFC all give me explosive diarrhea. I have learnt to appreciate the diarrhea over time. There's an odd satisfaction to it. Although it does limit my consumption because having a sudden uncontrollable urge to shit can be quite disruptive.

Oh man, I totally agree with you on this. I grew up with White Castle in Indiana, then moved to Georgia where we have Krystal. There is definitely a lot of qualifying when you try to explain it to someone who hasn't had it. But, those little grocery store boxes do come to land in our freezer every now then because as you say, if you're in a certain mood, they do hit the spot. Also, great to see you chugging along and getting stronger. :)

I’ve only tried the frozen version from the grocery store and definitely wasn’t impressed. I’m not sure where my closest White Castle is located but I figured I’d try the real deal next time I travel and come across one. I love how he mentions “you definitely have to be in the mood”. It’s just funny how certain foods, even when the quality isn’t great, has such a nostalgia effect on us and because of that can still taste good. I remember the cheeseburgers in our high school cafeteria were extremely low quality but once in awhile I’d get a huge craving for one. The memories it brings. Funny how that works.

When made fresh, White Castle burgers are steam grilled which it’s taste is distinguishable by how the burger itself is infused with the bun. The White Castle fish slider, crinkle fries and concrete milkshake were also underrated staples. Those items are worth trying if still available.

My favorite way to make the frozen ones is on the stove and I put a little water in a pan and steam them and it tastes just like the restaurant. I've only eaten white castle once, but it tastes just like the original.

I grew up in Queens NY, and there were a couple of White Castles near me. They're the kind of thing you need to be in a specific mood for, but when you are they're great. Unfortunately, I go to college in Philadelphia, and the nearest one I can find any record of is over 40 miles away. A lot of my friends here have never even seen one, much less eaten at it. One of these days, I'm gonna get them to go on a road trip with me to get some.

here in georgia i've never seen a white castle, we have krystal and they are pretty good. i enjoy chili fries, chili dogs, sliders, corn dogs, country fried steak slider. those are things i've tried from krystal more than once and it's pretty good.

Scottsdale here in AZ finally got our first White Castle...a year and a half ago, maybe? People started lining up three days before they opened, and by the day before opening there were so many people waiting they actually brought in an entire second kitchen that they set up outside to handle the load. White Castle was always that other choice. Directly on my way home from work was an intersection that had a Taco Bell on one corner, and White Castle on the other. On "I don't want to cook" nights it was about 50/50 which one I would choose. Three cheese sliders, an order of fries, one of onion chips, one of the original chicken rings with honey mustard sauce, and one of Mozzarella sticks with ranch dressing. The area I live in was BFEsville 10 years ago when I moved here. We had a McDonald's, a Jack in the box, Pizza Hut, and Burger King. They've added since then...two taco bells, a little cesars, Papa John's, a long john silver's, a Culver's, a Denny's, an IHoP, two dairy queens, and a Wendy's. I really wish we could get a White Castle, a Church's Chicken, and a Steak and Shake.

The last time I had White Castle was in Detroit just over 10 years ago and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. I ate 4 sliders and an order of fries, got in my car and only made it about 4 miles before l pulled into a McDonald’s to use the washroom before l shit myself. Never had food go through me so fast in my life.....
