That's a great hack! Are all Gibson studs hollow all the way through like that? My luck would be to get one that's not and sit there cranking down on its own bottom!

@@Giant_Guitars it worked!! i shouldn’t be as surprised as i am, i know… 👍 i was putting a frequensator tailpiece on so the tailpiece posts were redundant 👍 guess what i used to cover the holes? …. two gold drawing pins.. looks fine to me.. better than trying to match the paint finish.. 🤪

Took some bridge studs out of a Grote super strat last night and they were glued in 🙄 had a little year out but luckily it’s being routed for a Floyd

Go out and buy a $0.10 bolt twice the length with the same thread count to keep with any Gibson-style bridge. The bolt in beautifully (the do NOT screw in).
