Jeff Bezos started his humble beginnings working at McDonald's part-time while taking extra classes at a nearby college to hopefully build a better life for himself and his family. Finally achieving the position of vice-president at a company, he found himself dissatisfied and left the position to pursue something greater and more meaningful than money. He founded Amazon.com; one of the world's largest retailers.

Why you hating on mcdonalds? It's not like they FORCED him to work there is it? He had a choice and HE decided to work at McDonald's so if anything people should be praising mcd for letting young people going through difficult times to have some income, as, most of the time, the problem is to do with money, so mcd probably helped him get through tough times.

I'm from the Netherlands so I know some things about Amazon but not exactly everything but to my knowledge the wages aren't high for the workers but I Dont get how a man with such a great character, so passionate and who has struggled himself doesn't decide to give his workers a bigger sallery so that they have the opportunity and can persue their dreams too. Because poor people know they dont have any choice they either work and improve or die poor And out of them some work very hard and reach at the top And some break out of the poor class to the middle class My grand father was a farmer and he had 4 sons and 4 daughters and out of those people my father was the only one and the first college graduate.... Like in that entire area he was the one who was this educated He bought his family out of poverty and Now i dream to break the middle class mark and reach into the rich class My father had no option He told me his only motivation was that he saw his father and older brother struggle a lot in the fields and he knew that he could not let things be that way I am proud of my dad Hope you find this inspiring

Rotex _ all I’m saying is that the person on top is insinuating that going to school is something that didn’t help him in life. Yes striving for goals may have motivated him but the thing that let him get a job at an investment managing firm was his degree this then helped him fund his company. Also without his degree in computer science he wouldn’t have been able to make a website that became Amazon. In conclusion his whole life was built off of working hard in school and getting the grades Stay in school kids
