I’m scared of the possibility of there being no afterlife. The thought that when I die, there would be a possibility where I become nothing and will never get to experience anything anymore. What scares me even more is that I will never see any of my family members that have passed away. I really hope that there’s an after life.

I’m not scared of the actual dying part, I’d imagine it’s like a soft warm light that overcomes you, and eventually you fall asleep, never to awake. I’m scared of losing my consciousness. This video has been popping up in my recommended for a year now, and I've been so afraid to watch it because of my intense fear of death. I've always been so scared of being gone forever, or the way I could die, or even just dying young. Over the last few months though, I've come to be a little less terrified of the thoughts. I'll admit, there are some times at night where my anxiety about death takes over, but for the most part, I'm at peace with it. I'm so glad I finally put my fears aside and gave this video a chance, because its honestly what I have needed all along.

My aunt got in a bad car accident and she said when she was dead for 3 minutes she felt peace, no pain, and a light that was great. She heard a voice saying it wasn’t her time. She came back to her senses and she said she felt the pain again. I have doubts sometimes that there is nothing but that story makes me believe. I really don’t want to forget my family and friends though. That’s what I’m scared of. I wish I could remember and see everyone in heaven.

I’ve overdosed 9 times on fentanyl, heroin, Xanax and a few times when I didn’t even know exactly what I had taken. Some of the OD’s were intentional and some weren’t. That feeling when you’re fading into the background and everything is just peaceful and relaxed is the most amazing serene feeling I’ve ever experienced. Being brought back to life was always the worst part. I’m not currently suicidal but I constantly dream of that feeling and crave the day when I can embrace it completely and leave this world behind.

As someone who has a severe anxiety disorder, specifically a fear of disease, this video was very cathartic. It's very hard for me to attempt to live without fear, but I know that if I actually learned to live in the moment and not fear death, I could have a chance at living a meaningful life. I have lived in constant fear for 14 years now, and I will never get those years back. I'm now 30 and really hoping that I can turn my life around and enjoy things while I'm here.

I'll see you in the morning" The next day was a Friday. I heard her snoring when I left for school around 8 o'clock. I walked out and was at school. It was an early release day. I got in the car with my mom at the busstop. She said, "Before we go home, I have to talk to you" I said, "Oh, am I in trouble?" "No, you aren't. You did nothing but everything you could.." "Mom, wheres all this coming from?" "Sweetie.. Grandma's dead." I stayed silent. I didn't speak. Then I began bawling. My mom leaned over and hugged me tight. "It's okay.." I still didn't respond. We went home after a bit and we saw her in her bed with my grandpa sitting in his chair, his TV off and him staring at her, trembling. I threw my bookbag on the couch and ran to my room. I fell onto my bed and cried. My mom called me into her room. I sat next to her. She said, "It's okay, don't worry." I said, "No, it's not!" "You'll see her one day in Heaven.." "I was so mean to her sometimes, who says i'll go with her?" "You did your best, and that's enough." "I just want to see her now, not in 70 or 80 years.." "I know.. But i'll tell her you said hi when I see her.. And you will go with us. I'll say hi to grandpa too, okay?" "Okay, mom.. I love you.. But I need to be alone right now." She nodded at me and handed me a box of tissues. I ran to my room and cried all day. The people took her away and 2 days later my grandpa came home with her. "We got her creamated so she can always be with us, even if not it the way we really hoped." "Papa, she's always in our hearts, too." I smiled and went to my room. I silently sobbed at the thought of her. I admit, i'm crying while writing this. I regret lots of days in the 10 years I spent with her, but I know that she's watching over me.. My guardian angel. I really miss her. I bet she said hi to my great grandparents for me, heh. Why did I write all this? Because I want you to cherish every moment with your older loved ones. My grandpa is 76 and still here in the other room right now. My grandma? She was 63 when she died. I didn't expect her to go at such a young age, and wish I spent more time with her. I don't want you to make the same mistake I did and not cherish you moments that you have before you can't. Edit: wow. My father died of a heart attack in 2017 in my home. After his death he would tried to get my attention by turning off and on the lights, turning the tv on and blender, therefore Im not scare of death. I believe our spirit still lives just without a body

I think I've reached the point finally where I'm kind of at peace with the idea of death being a full stop/end with no conscious experience after. It took a while after being raised Christian. The part of it that is the hardest is not having that emotional crutch to lean on when you lose someone. No "ahh I miss them but I'll see them on the other side" anymore. I miss that a lot, and there are going to be more times in my life that I'm going to desperately wish I still believed it.

You know putting deep thought into it, I do fear death because of the fact that when you die you no longer exist and you leave everything you once loved behind. Also it is scary to think on how you are going to die, like will you pass peacefully or in the worst way possible? There is so many questions that we cannot answer right now and we do not know what lies ahead for all of us. But we should spend everyday like it could be our last, and go through the good and bad times of life.
