Ай бұрынIpswich's 2-0 win against Huddersfield was enough to earn Kieran McKenna's side back-to-back promotions, helping them towards a 2nd place finish behind Leicester. Despite a much weaker squad, they've managed to tactically outplay most of their opponents, whilst almost becoming the league's top scorers! But can they do it in the Premier League? In this video, I look at the tactics McKenna's side have used and what changes they might need to make to stay up next season.

I'm a Tottenham fan since 1965....I now live in Norwich. The hatred the 2 clubs have for each other reminds me of Spurs-Arse.....I must say though, I am so happy for Ipswich and their promotion. Even though my mates here all thought they would fade away...as did I! Norwich are still happy that Ipswich haven't beaten Norwich for 15 years....and people say WE have a losers mentality!!.. But really hope Ipswich do well next season. As for Norwich....'Yellow'....Canaries'....'On The Ball City'? (It's not the 1930's....) They deserve to stay down. As my Nan used to say...."Up and down like a Whores Drawers"....Lol....(Sorry for the graphic description!)

Hahah thats a very funny way of putting it, sounds like your nan knew what she was talking about. I can’t say I have any hate or love for norwich (although my girlfriend would claim they’re her favourite team so I best be careful!) but I think deservedly so they didn’t get promoted this season, but I’m really excited to see how Ipswich do in the top division. It could be disastrous and I think it depends on who their manager will be, but I’m hoping they put in a good showing and keep playing the style they have used in recent years

We concede alot of goals because our backline and keeper sometimes make silly mistakes when playing out or clearing. Or our lb/rb get cought up the pitch

Do you concede a lot of goals on the counter because from what I could see you press very high but it leaves all sorts of space in behind the fullbacks that the opposition could exploit? 😅

Sorry man, but this is not how Ipswich Town play on the pitch. You got the initial set-up of 4-2-3-1 right but that's about it.

Granted I only watched some highlights of their games this season, but from what I could see is they build in a 2-4 base and in attacking transition they’re either a 3-2-5 or a 2-3-5 depending on the players, often meaning Davis can become a left winger and Chaplin can take either a second striker role or drift into the half space? I haven’t watched all of their games tbf but I’m curious how you would say they defend, build up and attack? 🤓😅
