How Jrue Holiday is a Defensive CHEAT CODE

Jrue Holiday is a Defensive Cheat Code because of his amazing defence. Jrue is easily one of the best defenders in the NBA.
Jrue is also a cheat code at what I like to call “getting skinny”. He starts in a low stance, but when he wants to fight over the top of the pick, he gets upright and as skinny as he can so he can slide right through. This is all about getting physical and sneaking in that airspace
Jrue Holiday is using a sneaky trick in each one of these clips you can see on screen right now.
Jrue Holiday is the greatest perimeter defender in the GAME TODAY.
Jrue Holiday uses sneaky tricks to become the
Jrue Holiday is one of the greatest defenders ever. Who remembers this play, on the surface it is a forced turnover, but the reality is Jrue is making plays that no other defender has been making in the history of the game. One of the secret moves I discovered that make Jrue will often counter spin out of a screen.
Here are some of Drews Holiday’s best defensive plays.
Jrue also has something which he needs to get better at, but we will get to that in a bit. Here are a few other reasons I like his defence:
Low and strong defensive base
Active Hands
Ways to get by the picks
Great instincts and anticipation
Helping / “digging”
On pretty much every single ball screen , he bunny hops up and gets on top of that hip. He sets a physical tone. The trick he uses is to use one of his hands to stay tight to the defender at all times. This works on two levels. First of all it gives him an advantage physically because he can track the offensive player easier, and even at times slow him down. Secondly it provides a psychological advantage because the dribbler is always feeling pressure and chaos.
Jrue also has 6’7 wingspan which he uses to block shots.

Jrue is probably one of the strongest PG in history, he's also quick and bouncy asf. Probably one of the most underrated athlete in recent memory. His IQ and discipline makes him a top notch defender.

How has he not gotten DPOY??? Blows my mind. Your videos are getting GOODER!!! This one is the best yet. I saw things I've never seen. The "skinny" move blew me away. How's he do that? Agree re: offense. But I ain't mad at Jrue. It's nearly impossible to be elite on both sides of the court and very very very few achieve it. Bucks defense is what it is in large part thanks to Jrue. Hats off to him. And to you! Keep up the Good-er work!

It's rare that a point guard wins dpoy. I think Marcus Smart and Gary Payton r the only ones that won it in the past 27 years

Jrue is one of the people I look to all the time to get better at defense. I copied his way of bodying up defenders and it helped me so much on the court. Just recently I got injured and when trying to play myself back on the court, I realized how important it was to my way of defending because I have no strength in my right leg cuz of the injury.

hey man im new here and i love your vids, subbed and hit the notif bell :). jrue holiday needs way more recognition for wat he does on D. also, a question I had for u is if u think curry was playing injured during the finals when they blew the 3-1 lead? it seemed like he was much slower and couldn't get by defenders like usual but maybe u would have more expert insight on that?

DAVID my man. Thank you so much for the warm comment- it honestly made my day. I don’t think he was injured, I just think he didn’t realize he was as much of a beast as he is. Draymond Green actually talked about it on his podcast a month ago! He said when Steph lost it made him become more assertive

I really like these videos because it truly shows how they change the rules in the NBA because of acrobatic moves like crossover. So instead of having real basketball they change the rules so people can carry the ball they can travel let’s set a moving pic why not and why is it all this? Just ask yourself that question why are you change a game where nobody hardly ever gets injured it’s not like football. If you spear somebody that’s not a thing in basketball they did it strictly for the crowd to be like ooh, but real basketball is not played this way there’s rules. It’s just sad to see NBA turn in WWE.

Thanks MAN! Yeah the moving screens are BAD! I believe they let more slide because they increase offense. Offense and Points = more views. That's my take, but I might be wrong!
