Rasar Amani yea it was now in hindsight, but let’s be honest we all expected a GS vs Milwaukee and maybe Toronto, which probably felt a little more refreshing than it should’ve felt because we where coming off of a Cavs vs Warriors finals series for the 4th time in a row, but what I’m trying to say is that you can genuinely say, if everything goes a teams way, that Lakers, Clippers, Milwaukee, Nets and even GS (if they get lucky enough) can make the finals

I’m absolutely fine with the Lakers not picking up Kawhi. They never needed him anyway. I felt they should’ve focused on role players from the beginning and they probably would’ve had a more solid bench by now. They are picking up some nice pieces though.

Clippers defensively are going to be similar to the 2004 pistons defense except with the upside to be better than them. We will see, but damn, talk about a team that can defend AND score with the same lineup. So happy he didnt go to the Lakers. The league is more balanced and powerful than ever. I love Kawhi so much. He just became my favorite NBA player. Kawhi had this all planned out. He wanted Paul George so he directly talked with Jerry West and probably less than a handful of people knew about this. He told his camp to plant the seed that the Clippers were out and that he would likely join the Lakers just so they can wait till the very end for Kawhi and not sign anyone else crippling their chances for other good free agents. Then at the last second Jerry West went all out for Paul George and the bomb dropped last night. Kawhi Leonard is a straight up G. People are straight up stupid to think Kawhi would join LeBron. He wants to beat him not join him.

i am a lakers fan and I applaud kawhi for that decision. the mentality of having at least 3 superstars need to stop. That's why no one gives respect to the warriors rings bc they need absolutely to be stacked with an all star team to get chips. At least, kawhi doesn't want the narrative of "you join lebron's team to win rings" in his legacy and we should all admire it even though most ppl out there are lakers fans

Just to give you an idea how OBSESSED fans of other teams are with the Lakers: When Quinn Cook signed his deal, some reporter (I forgot his name) put it on Twitter. Not some big name reporter from ESPN or FS1, maybe a local reporter here in LA. That tweet was flooded with anti-Laker comments. Again, this is a tweet about Quinn Cook joining the Lakers. Shit didn't even make ESPN headlines lmao...that shows me that these guys wake up and type "Lakers" into their Google search. Its pretty sad actually
