This man’s journey has been insane when you think about it. Stuntman to stunt coordinator to stunt director to director. And has made a franchise that NO studio wanted AT ALL and made not just good films, but films with story, depth and action. A whole new universe in which so much can come from in the future. Respect.

A Short Text on Keanu Reeves’ Life 💭 Keanu was born in Lebanon. His parents split when he was three and he grew up with three different stepfathers. As a kid he was diagnosed with dyslexia and dreamed of becoming a hockey player. He played goalie for a junior league team in Canada but quit after breaking his leg to focus on acting. He lost his best friend, River Phoenix, in 1993 due to an overdose. He got married in 1998, experienced a miscarriage with his daughter in 1999, and ultimately lost his wife as well due to a car accident in 2001. In 2002, Keanu put the Matrix sequels on hold to care for his sick sister. He sold his house to move nearer to his sister, while also helping by cooking meals, cleaning her house, and preparing medication. He also donated 70% of the money he made from The Matrix to leukemia research. In 2006, when he was filming the movie "The Lake House," he overheard the conversation of two costume assistants, one crying as he would lose his house if he did not pay $20,000 - on the same day, Keanu deposited the necessary amount in his bank account. In 2010, on his birthday, Keanu walked into a bakery & bought a brioche with a single candle, ate it in front of the bakery, and offered coffee to people who stopped to talk to him.⁣⁣ To this day, Keanu is often seen wandering around New York City, riding the subway, and interacting with people. A certified legend.

Hi Joe my name is Mphuthumi Xhala and from South africa. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude towards you and your show for helping me through tough times in 2022 December. I had a very bad breakup and I was just feeling horrible. I consumed so much of your content during that time to such an extent that I would forget what I was going through. Obviously there wasn't anything that you said that was relevant to my situation but just watching your podcast covering all these different topics enabled me to be at ease. Of course later I would cry myself to sleep but the point that I am making is that you really helped my get by my pain. You might find this very wired but that is the reality of my experience and how you helped go through it without intentionally doing it. The topics that you uncover with the help of your guests makes one to pause and really think about stuff. You are beacon of light to the world that shines beyond the many borders of this world and touch people in many ways that cannot be imagined. Thank you Joe a lot for what you did for me. At the time I won't lie I didn't see past the situation I was just broken inside and unable to function but through watching many of your episodes the healing process was happening gradually. I will forever embrace and be grateful to you.

I was hoping he would have asked him what it was like working with Stallone on the expendables but I guess he didn’t ask that either. Another wasted opportunity. I’m not going to sign up for Spotify if none of these subjects were brought up with chad. Stallone destroyed his body making the first expendables. Got shingles, broke his neck, broke his foot etc.

Because of Brandon's death, a new standard of safety came in for how to use guns on set, such as don't point it at people, but cheat the shot to make it look like you are pointing the gun at someone ( That's what I was taught at film school at least). I saw the first 3 Wick movies. As someone who worked as a set dresser, and also knows editing, I think they must be exhausting films to work on, but they are very well done. Keanu really is great in them. For me though, in action movies, I like more tension and drama than actual graphic violence. I loved Point Break, and I love all the Die Hard Films. They weren't just kill fests. They were heroes put in a position they didn't look for, but they figured out how to survive and win in the end. The Wick movies are more like live action anime movies.

I was shocked at how intense and effective all the action was in JW4, even though we'd all seen it before and knew the formula. To still pull it off is impressive. That movie was like a modern video game, non stop action and just great! Totally surprised. I think this movie should hey Best Cinematography considerations. The usage of the angles, I think were genius. Kept it fresh, imo

Chad is a phenomenal martial artist in his own right. Coming from his training at the Inosanto Academy. Back in the 90’s, he was arguably the best kickboxer in the gym.

I can't believe Keanu hasn't done Joe Rogan. It would be incredible publicity for John Wick.

Because nobody's ever heard of John Wick or Keanu Reeves? Rogan would benefit from it vastly more than Keanu would.

Reeves needs to be given an honory Oscar for his contribution to cinema and art itself. And Chad is like a modern day Leone and Kurosawa...

Please interview the writer of John wick. Derek kolstad. All the characters are named after his family members, John Wick this is grandfathers name. From rural South Central Wisconsin. I mean you talk about this franchise so much you might as well interview the originator lol. Would be a cool story.
