If anyone is joining me on their journey, let me know what distance you are starting with and what your goal is!

My standstill record is 395 and I’ve been tryna get to 400 for a little. Would love to share what I’ve learned! And I’ll be adding in the xstep soon one day lol. I want to get to 450 first

So, I don't know what happened. 3 weeks ago, I was throwing my regular 270 to 290ish stand still out in the field. I went out yesterday and threw 6 out of 10 drivers (7 to 9 speed) drivers 360ft accurately into a slight headwind. I have no clue what has changed. LOL

You should be more upright. Balanced stance for a balanced level shot and full flight path (dipping front shoulder) Your reach back is too low.. the disc should travel along a straight line parallel with the ground Aim with your elbow. Well… This is what I tell myself before drives and it usually guides me well. I hope you find what works for ya!

Yes, reminded me of the Scott Stokely IcebergTV critique. He told him to stand up straighter and pull across his chest instead of his stomach.

The first step in the X-step should be strait towards where u throw, 2th 3th 4th steps looks great. it helps with not backing up from the starts and engages ur hips way more. The biggest formchange i have done is putting my disc away from me when i throw. first i look so my nose angle is down then i make sure the disc is away from me, just that i increased 60 ft.

Hey mate. Love the video. I’ve just completed the Road to 400ft journey myself and the last 3 months of it are on my KZfaq channel. I look forward to following your journey and seeing what similar and different angles we took to this challenge!

Looks like the step before x-step could be a bit more forward, so your x-step gets a better straight line. You could look at your disc while coiling, so you get a better coil behind you. In the brace you move your center point horizontal. You should let your head be in the same position while you coil and brace like a golf swing. But overall you look good :)

I’d say to work on your power pocket. There are some good youtube videos on that that I used to go from 420ish to 500+. Drew Gibson has a pretty good video with Brodie smith on getting distance that helped it click for me. Good luck!

Hard to tell exactly from the camera angle, but it looks like you might have a little rounding going on (reaching back a little to far around your body, and then maybe early releasing a little). I'd try having your reach back be farther out from your body. I also would probably try to lean forward a little less (if you're trying to throw flat at least). I'm by no means a distance expert, but I can throw around 430 average. The distance line that's most consistent for me is a big anhyzer with a pretty neutral flying disc. But I know other people prefer doing a hyzer release with something flippy.

I appreciate it! I am gonna try and get a better angle for next field day. But rounding, and leaning are good notes!

You're averaging about 30ish ft more than me but my furthest throws I seem to get with the MVP Insanity. Its an understable distance driver that's about 165g. However, for my headwind shots I love the Tesla. I can get a good flip up to flat and it rides straight until the speed wears off. Both of these discs I have in Neutron plastic. The proton and cosmic neutron are both too overstable for me and my slow arm speed. I've been playing for 2-1/2 years but feel like I'm stalled on distance but I also only play once or sometimes twice a week. New Sub-interested to see your improvements.
@acfrisbee
@acfrisbee 2 ай бұрын
I appreciate the sub and the comment! My lighter weights do seem to be going further. My flippy kings, and my more stable blizzard bosses usually go the furthest (they are both in the 168g range).
