I am sad to hear that. My heartfelt condolences for your loss. My cousin lost her daughter last week and is in deep agony and pain. We must all continue with what years we have left here. Just remember this: Jesus is the God of living not the dead. Your husband and my niece Stacey are both alive with our Lord as we speak. In fact, they are literally more alive than us. OK, so basically... The Orthodox Church is the first Church, and is basically what Christianity was in the years of martyrdom. And all other churches don't follow the gospels and teachings of the elders as devoutly as the Orthodox Church does. I hope I explained it good enough. It all has to do with history and the written/oral traditions passed down through the church fathers. It is the original christianity, I firmly believe if you took a 6th century Christian and planted them into an Orthodox church this Sunday, they would be at home. On the other hand, I believe they would be entirely confused and disgusted by protestant churches.

I do not care if he saves me I simply ask how much longer will this bloodshed continue. How can a single drop of an innocent child's blood ever be justified. I know I'm a sinner I do not ask for forgiveness but I ask simply for the healing of the world. Yet this endless cycle continues. Corpse after corpse pile up and I just question if you feel guilty. Do you weep for us was there truly no other way. I am perfectly fine with taking all of the burdens of this world. However I just see his death was in vain. Almost 300 years later one of the bloodiest war in history was waged in his name. Is that what he would have wanted, is this what he would have wanted? Oh Lord do not have mercy on me have mercy on the ones weaker than I. I no longer have fear aside from the fear of you. For if he was not enough then how can I?

My walk with God slowly deteriorated in the past few months, and I feel now that I have strayed too far. I feel that i can't bring myself back. Im not sure when exactly it started, or why, but i find it difficult to simply read my Bible or pray. I just need some advice, anything really. My life is currently steeped in remorse. I have made plenty of mistakes, and each of them taunts me, and I have always tried very hard to correct them, but ive failed. Im far too ashamed to go back to my parish. Any advice or help?

One day in a new semester of college I overslept for two classes. The next week I simply didn’t go. And that continued until I dropped those classes. By the end of the semester I ghosted the college, didn’t even formally drop out. I was depressed (nothing new), afraid, disappointed and disillusioned. It’s not something I regret. After all this time I see why it came to be. My parents raised me to be intelligent, and I was exceptional. But being smart was the single identity I had. It was something I proved like my personality. So I half heartedly went to college to pursue STEM, my intellectual strength I don’t know if I will go back to college but I know what kind of education I’m after. It’s the last thing I ever imagined, art, metal fabrication and woodworking. Was never an artist but I am good at it and my work is technical. It’s more aesthetic derivation than interpretive art Obviously this story is a metaphor but I’m not saying the college is the parish and studies are Christian life. It’s more to say there’s a place for you there no matter how much time has passed, and in the same way I went to college for the wrong reason/mindset before, maybe you were doing the same and it’s a matter of reimagining the purpose and soul of your pursuit. Idk maybe I’m good at reading into things metaphorically but I think I said enough and don’t need to spell it out. This is your walk so things are gonna click in place uniquely, even solid advice is kinda meh until you experience it for yourself of your own volition. Hope this helps.

Get back up. God’s desire to save you is far stronger than satan’s desire to destroy you. If you’re Orthodox, then go to your priest for confession if you feel it’s necessary. The main thing is to not give up and never, under any circumstances, give into despair.

Coming from someone who struggles heavily with depression, I know how it feels like such a monumental task. But like the ladder of divine ascent, we take one step at a time. God bless.

question. is god a depressing god? certainly not, and he is righteous and slowly to anger but with full strength. and where is the light aspekt of god in the video? not that i have seen it. the hope passage. god is not a god of dead or depressed people, he sets up the weak and in that divelopment, he is the god of love, peace and happieness!!! its just a comment its not my intention to speak ill, I try to paint the real picture of god according to the bibel:) when someone is asking some exsampels of the bibel here are some, and ask and you will be given more.
