Something's always bothered me about the Animal Crossing 100% speedrun ruleset: why aren't the bug plaque and fish weathervane required? I decided to show off these permanent objects by creating an unofficial speedrun category to collect all 4 player statues, bug plaques, and fish weathervanes. I call it "Max Player Houses".
All 4 players must pay off their entire house debt, catch all 40 bugs, and catch all 40 fish to obtain the player statue, bug plaque, and fish weathervane, respectively. Pre-existing save data may not be used. Nook Codes or E-Reader cards that provide bugs, fish, or golden tools are not allowed. Glitches and time traveling are allowed.
I had a blast completing this run and was pleased with the final time!

Population Growing is actually the easiest one to make money in because the turnip spikes are so astronomical. I'm glad I didn't know about them when I started playing and paid my house off the old-fashioned way.

Hey man, I had a question regarding your paying off the debts with only mushrooms video. Hoping you can help me out here. Where did you get your info on the Islanders potentially burying mushrooms? I've been looking on wikis and forums and I can't find anything related to it. I started a new save for GCN and I'm trying to learn the ins and outs of the island, but it seems like AC GCN is very poorly documented.

Animal Crossing is a game I'd love to speedrun but the mods refuse to allow emus or modded/third party consoles. It's a shame when a gaming community can't grow and reach more competitive players becase the mods just refuse to open a separate emu/third party console leaderboard

Game developers historically really don't like multiplayer mods. (See Super Mario 64, Breath of the Wild, Halo, GTA V....) Such mods are allowed to exist sometimes...but this is Nintendo we're talking about so I am not optimistic about that unfortunately.

I still remember that verbatim from when I was 11-12 years old. HOW?
